Fucking Unfriended has been on my shitlist from about the second one of its goddamn ads got squeezed out into my eyes on Youtube. More than a few times I got saddled with an unskippable 30 second ad, and once or twice I think I was forced to sit through a whole minute-something like trailer. All to shove this inevitably fucking awful computer-based horror film onto a populace that has zero interest in it as an earnest horror experience. And with an ad campaign THAT obnoxious, doing their best to FORCE you to pay attention to it, you just KNOW they have confidence in their movie's audience appeal... I think I literally decided NOT to watch the video I was trying to when the minute-long ad wouldn't fuck off after multiple refreshes. Not worth it. Fucking REALLY? A horror movie about a haunted Facebook page? What seventy-year-old executive only NOW capitalizing on social media decided THIS was a good idea? Because we ALL remember what rollicking successes movies like "FearDotCom" and "Stay Alive" were... fuck's sake...
I can't be the only person who first saw the trailers for Unfriended and thought it was a joke at first.
I can't be the only person who first saw the trailers for Unfriended and thought it was a joke at first.
Oh, I WISH... but I've grown cynical in recent years...

it's now gone on to make 36.6 mil internationally (26 mil is the DOMESTIC total,) so that's already a profit. [editline]22nd April 2015[/editline] they're not enourmous profits though so i don't see how they can call this a success

"I don't know where Kevin James came from other than a fat woman's vagina." Oh my god lol. I love Mike. [sp]but I love Jay more <3 hawt[/sp]
you should try adblock
Oh, I have it. Couldn't live without it. At work though, I can't exactly install it on the company computers, even if I tried. Overnight shifts get a bit dull, so youtube is my only recourse.
[sp]THAT'S A JOKE YOU FAT FUCK[/sp]
