This made me feel blue.
:(
What happend?
They are not showing compassion on purpose they need to be professional
The fuck has the world come to :(
The operator acted perfectly reasonable manner. She was trying to get the girl to tell her where they were as quickly as possible, to increase the chance of survival.
They have to be stern, and strict, and professional so they can get all the information they need and as fast as they need. Hurt someones feelings, or be nice and sweet talk someone and have someone die. Now someone did die this time, but in other cases life and death would of easily been changed in the time the dispatch gets the info.
give me boxes.
I thought 911 could trace phones.
I thought 911 could trace phones.
i remember hearing something on CNN about them not being legally allowed to use it or someshit
In Australia when you ring an emergency hotline they instantly get both your address and number. This way we can avoid these kinds of problems.
i know i'm supposed to feel sad about this but transcribed captions totally ruined it the political group the the well we yeah that means and senator obama

When she said "Do you see any mail?" What the hell does that mean? Did she think her mom was fucking the mailman or something? Wow, 41 dumbs. I learned my lesson
When she said "Do you see any mail?" What the hell does that mean? Did she think her mom was fucking the mailman or something?
Duuuur because you wouldn't find your address posted on mail or anything.
When she said "Do you see any mail?" What the hell does that mean? Did she think her mom was fucking the mailman or something?
Mail usually has an address on it. Rate me double late.
What a fucking retard calling 911 when it's not an emergency. (User was banned for this post ("Idiot." - Greeman))
Awww
What a fucking retard calling 911 when it's not an emergency.
Her mother was dying?
:sympathy: Can't they track your address down? I mean jesus. Or is that only with land lines
It's really sad but the operator was only doing their job. Get the needed information as fast as possible to maximize chances of keeping people alive.
I didn't see anything wrong with the operator.
Sorry if i dont get it but how at all is the operator at fault here
Sorry if i dont get it but how at all is the operator at fault here
They had to blame somebody.
WTF. Police can back track a phone number to an address, why the hell would they need to know the address. How would I know? I called the cops, hung up the phone after I let it rang twice, they showed up 2 minutes later. (4 years ago)

protip: that takes time. if they can get the info sooner than they can track it, that's better. That's why they always ask. While asking they're probably busy tracking it in the background.

Some places can locate the general area that cells are calling from, but most haven't got this yet (at least in Canada)
