Seems to be a serious review like their minecraft one, I'm a fan music on point as always, animal crossing ost
The sound editing has always been my favorite thing about TBG. It's so insane and genius at the same time.
War Never Changes.
The best part, it's a pretty accurate review.
The X-Wing sounds from the laser rifles and the knuckles reskin made me giggle.
Is it really that bad...? What happened?
Is it really that bad...? What happened?
Yeah, a good chunk of it is pretty on point.
Rockcock64's sound editing is a national treasure.
Sad thing is most of this is true, it's not really a bad game or anything. It's just that the flaws it has are really bad. And it barley feels like an RPG compared to the previous games which ruins a lot, for me anyway.
Yeah, a good chunk of it is pretty on point.
While some of it's true, I think people are too critical of it. It's a fun game worth exploring. I run into glitches in FO4 as often as I do in Skyrim or FO3/NV. Yeah, by now they should've improved but I'm not too worked up about it.

I will never understand the call of duty 2.
Damn that was funny.. TBG is really clever, when he was talking about mirror demons I was like "what is the joke he--" and lost it when he mentioned there's no reflections. The sound editing was great too, I'm glad they're back to making videos, feels like it's been a while. The video almost made me sad about Fallout 4 though. As much as I love the game, these are really valid points and it's a shame that there's so much wrong with Fallout 4, considering all the lost potential as a result. The VATS bit made me laugh too, I didn't know if it was just because I didn't build my character right but it's infuriating constantly missing point blank shots and having to constantly just go for the torso (which does, like, zero damage) instead.
I will never understand the call of duty 2.
was accidentally left in the original cut of an old video of theirs. they thought it was funny and left it in, and then it just became a running joke
Is it really that bad...? What happened?
Same thing that happens every beth game; massive hype, screaming fan peoples, any dissent is BOOOO DEATHed to death, game is fun but janked to the maximum of jankness and bugged from hell to breakfast, a year later most of the bugs are fixed but not the ones that cause instant CTDs, there are four DLCs, two of incredibly bad quality, two of pretty ok quality, and everyone still playing the game has modded it from hell to breakfast with either vanilla only style ever only only only mods and bitch incessantly about any other kind of mod or turned into it an absurd virtual sexplosion that makes Second Life players shuffle their feet awkwardly and look away from the screen in shame. Two years later a TES trailer comes out and people start screaming like 11 year old girls at a justin bieber concert all over again, despite the obvious shortcomings seen right in the first screenshots that will not be fixed ever. Fan. Fan never changes.

i don't know why but i really like bethesda style jank and i would be sad to see it go from the world
How do we know this?
writers being bethesda and made somewhat similar to 3
IT JUST WORKS
Is it really that bad...? What happened?
The game is fun and I honestly don't regret buying it, but holy shit am I disappointed in Bethesda. I honestly straight up think they have not learned whatsoever in their mistakes from previous games, it's such a shame. Shitty writing, less dialog options overall, shitty textures, unoptimized performance, etc. Even the few features they added, like basebuilding, were taken straight from community mods in terms of ideas (and function). However, I do think the AI is the best it has been for a Bethesda game (not saying much, but it's there!) and the world itself feels MUCH more alive and the city of Boston really feels like a city, rather than a medium sized town like DC did. Diamond City still suffers from the problem of seeming a bit too small, which is odd considering the HQ of a few other factions are larger. Game is good, but Bethesda needs to step up their game, I expect more from them. [editline]19th November 2015[/editline] What we need is Obsidian back. Fallout New Vegas was a great game and if they had more budget it would have been even better. I really want their writing back on this new engine, because they are at least competent unlike Bethesda.
If the same guys that did NV got to make another Fallout with the features and all that of FO4 that would 10/10

Fan. Fan never changes.
Real fans criticize games harder IMO. I fucking love bethesda, but every time one of their games come out I rant the shit out of it. I expect more from Bethesda, as I've said before. That means that I hold them to a higher standard than the majority of other devs. That's what being a fan means to me. [editline]19th November 2015[/editline]
If the same guys that did NV got to make another Fallout with the features and all that of FO4 that would 10/10
OBSIDIAN! They are made up of a lot of the original Fallout 1 & 2 team! They actually know how to write! I keep saying this. They have so many good RPGs under their belt as Obsidian already. They just need a good budget and producer to be consistent with them.

I also expect mods being sold as dlc so dunno.
any dissent is BOOOO DEATHed to death
don't forget people circlejerking about how they don't like the game and patting their favorite youtubers on the back for doing the oh so brave act of criticizing a betheseda game (see Super Bunny Hop and The Best Gamers comments section). skills in the bethesda fallouts were garbage and the new system actually encourages playing a role. unfortunately the new dialogue system makes this just a bit more difficult, but I found talking to npcs a lot less dull this time since I didn't have to stare at their blank, expressionless faces staring at me for 5 minutes and I didn't have to listen to the same voice actor for the 100th time, all this while we were both frozen in time. in the past bethesda fallouts you could get 100 in speech halfway through the game even with 1 charisma, which essentially made charisma useless. the last character I played in new vegas was focused on speech, sneak, and lockpicking, but by the time I was in the higher levels, I had 100 in the guns, hacking, and repair skills. that means I was a master of 6 skills (if you include my tagged skills). in my first playthrough of fallout 4 I focused on charisma and luck. i maxed out charisma right off the bat and put my luck at 9. by being able to immediately have access to perks that allow me to pacify enemies with charisma and instantly fill my critical hit meter with one hit in vats, I was able to flesh out a play style based on my s.p.e.c.i.a.l. stats from the start. as a result, i was complete garbage at lockpicking and hacking for the entire game, which is how it should be when my character isn't focused on those skills at all. saying bethesda removed skills is going to immediately piss off all the people dedicated to complaining about how dumbed down bethesda games are, but if you actually look at what they did, you'll find that removing skills made it better for role-playing. it's just a shame the dialogue system puts a bit of restriction on it.
heeeey it's the people I was talking about, down in the rating section, welcome back guys! in for round two of "this game is incredible because i paid 60 bucks, i get butthurt if you try to bring in arguments it's not exactly the best shit since porn"?
this is the shit i'm so sick of. by all means, criticize the games, but stop making up this Bethesda Internet Defense Force boogeyman and acting like a cutting-edge shock jokey for criticizing a bethesda game. the reason people rate you dumb is not because you're criticizing the bethesda games, but rather because you're patting yourself on the back for doing so and bestowing the role of pariah upon yourself.
It's not I am criticizing bethesda games, it's that I am criticizing Fallout 4 for some reason. I gave valid reasons on why Fallout 4 is certainly not a bad game, in fact it's a pretty great game, but it's mechanically not really a Fallout game or does feel like a RPG at all, and apperantly people go trough hell to defend the game to the bone, giving all kinds of shit reasons and dragging out other games like witcher 3 and mass effect to compare. I'm not fucking talking about those games, I'm talking about Fallout 4 and the Fallout series. Anyone who has played the entire series before can see even Fallout 3 feels mechanically more like a Fallout game, even though that was already turning to the side Fallout 4 finds itself in now, where it's literally Borderlands/Mass Effect with a Fallout paintjob. The things that makes the Fallout series so special to me are things like being able to make all kinds of characters that are specialized in different things, and then using those kind of things to your advantage when talking with NPCs, using world objects, completing quests, etc. All of that has just been stripped out and thrown out of the window in favor "more emotional character establishment", which is fucking stupid for a Fallout game. And I get people still like the game, because I do too because It's really fun and addictive, but I do not get the part there are actually people defending the major flaws Fallout 4 has to the fucking bone. Go play the other games and see for yourself what I mean.
For the most part I do agree with you. The atmosphere feels a lot less like a fallout game and there is definitely a lack of options when completing quests. Fallout 4 is too combat-centric when it comes to how skills are used. I'm mainly just defending the removal of skills. The way they made the perk system actually encourages specialization, the problem is, like you said, that perks seem mostly focused on combat.
