Let me guess this list is exactly the same as his other lists and took nothing of the criticism we made in the last thread, despite him posting in it

what the fuck is the point of this post? is larry supposed to become a hyperactive adhd child because some people can't handle him talking at a normal rate?

you could have made whatever point you were trying to make in many ways that weren't as dickish as this

heres a hint, since you very clearly need it: the goal of criticism ISNT to try to be as massive of a cunt as you can

Still- you can't expect him to throw away all the choices he made til' now because of a few forum posts. If he did acknowledge and accept the criticism it will take a few videos before he can get to grips on how to use that to improve without throwing off the people who do enjoy his rythm.
I'm one of these, I just leave it as background noise during random stuff, and his slow rythm really helps in that.
Is there a link to the thread he appeared in? I must of missed it.

'Don't know about you but I like the style he has for his videos.
'Don't know about you but I like the style he has for his videos.
Yeah, the only problem I have with his videos is the tired and predictable (but not uncalled for) Peter Molyneux bits.
I'm tired of the Molyneux bits when there's no reason for them, like in this video. Like, if you're talking about one of his games, of course you could do that, or if you were talking about another game that overpromised, it's a coherent comparison, but here it had nothing to do with anything, other than general negative connotations.
I also think he's still too repetitive. He's gotten better since back in the day, when he'd literally throw some text on the screen and then read it word-for-word.
The "loading screens" are also (IMO) still too long. Just feels like padding, or more likely, a sound bite he's too proud of to try to shorten. And yes, the sounds are still a bit grating, although not unlistenable like they used to be.
I don't mind the "obscure British home PC" obsession as much, but I do think it needs more explanation. You don't have to explain why Superman 64 sucked, because everyone watching these vids knows that game's reputation, but when you're talking about a UK-only game based on a BBC series license for an old British 8-bit, you need to do more than just say "the controls were bad and the game looked like Molyneux's wrinkled taint" if you want people to actually learn anything.
that ska at the beginning and end: lovely.
Do people still have trouble with his pacing? Just put youtube at 1.5x or 2x it's not a big deal.

"Aw fuck me, I guess I have to change my entire video style and speech pattern I've had for years because a few sods on some meme site no one's heard of said the current style didn't work for them."
I was unaware people had such an issue with his pacing until for some reason it became a huge problem nobody could deal with after the 50th time a thread of his was posted here.

Plus its like, he makes top [x] lists dude, like what are you going to do, it'll still be a top [x] list.
Like no shit someone with a specific sense of humor and presentation style who does video game triva list videos will do video game trivia list videos with a specific sense of humor and presentation style.
the thing with the molyneux jokes is that he's totally aware that they're often rather shoehorned-in and silly - it's just like a tradition sort of thing that he has to put one in every video even if it's forced and not really relevant, which is kind of the point of the whole thing anyway

Just because a joke is supposed to be force doesn't make it not forced.
Just because a joke is supposed to be force doesn't make it not forced.
I find it chuckle worthy to be honest. It's just a running gag that he finds a way to make a jab at him somehow. I like it.
Just because a joke is supposed to be force doesn't make it not forced.
you mean like a weird double layer of forcing where the knowing, self-aware forcedness is, in itself, forced? yeah i can see that being an issue, though i personally find it amusing how he still manages to shove in the molyneux joke into a totally unfitting and awkward place
Just because a joke is supposed to be force doesn't make it not forced.
and when did he say the joke was not forced? Did you read his post where he even said it was forced? What part of his post were you replying to, exactly?
