the silent hill 2 great knife is literally just a large knife with nothing going on. so it makes more sense to go with the homecoming design

Wish they'd do some Dark Souls stuff. The weapon design in there is nice, and it's complex to the point where it'd be fun to work but not too complex or oversized to the point where it'd be a pain in the ass to do.

I think his point was that making the SH2 one would have made for a boring video since it's just a sharp slab of rusty metal.

Besides, the bowie knife design isn't [I]that bad[/I] since it at least works with Homecoming's military theme (it's pretty much the only thing that does, as well).
