This literally came across my twitter feed 5 minutes ago and I had a hearty laugh
Of all the people to turn out to be an idiot though...
I went from enjoying and identifying with this dude to trying to enjoy his humor while ignoring his increasingly distracting political slant to finally unsubscribing because he seriously just can't shut up. Sent him this message on Twitter:

It was because he was moving to New York, I thought?
Arin has made some comments himself (though, other side of the spectrum) that would could have replaced his line.

did he walk in and say that or did you watch a two hour stream on politics where he said that. Also, i don't really get why saying this is controversial. There seem to be some outlets that reported this as fact, see this. Is it that everyone is assuming that the implication is "black people are inferior", because obviously real life is more complicated than that.
I still want know the reason why he actually left GG, clearly there had to be a reason.
I have a feeling it was because Arin wanted to take GG a little farther and do more things with it (GG Live, charity streams, collabs with other creators, etc. ) whereas Jon might've wanted to keep it as is? Because I feel like GG was super stagnant with Jon aside from the one Guest Grumps. Arin's said in the past that it wasn't because of animosity and I'm pretty sure he mentioned it was something along the lines of creative differences.
Wow that is so brave
Thank goodness you're here, I was afraid that people wouldn't see how brave I am and would just find my joke mildly amusing
did he walk in and say that or did you watch a two hour stream on politics where he said that.
I put one line he said into another line he said but thank you also for murdering it swiftly and efficiently by over-analyzing where you could
This was my one shot, I'll never be funny again :surrender:
Did the guy who made this used to do Bonus Stage back in the day?

If it's any consolation you weren't funny to begin with

Come on dude. You didn't have to say that shit. Have some fucking respect.
Did the guy who made this used to do Bonus Stage back in the day?
Oh my fuck it's the same guy, Matt Wilson
I haven't heard a thing about him since Bonus Stage ended like 10 years ago, I used to watch that religiously.

What do you mean he "can't shut up"? He has nothing about his political views on his youtube you unsubbed from. You gotta go out of your way to twitter or some other person's youtube to hear them, dum dum. If he made a "top 5 video games promoting white genocide" vid, then fair enough. But if you go to somebodies twitter to find out their shitty personal opinions and then find shitty personal opinions, what the fuck you surprised about?

Jon's been going on other peoples' shows specifically to talk about controversial political stuff that he knows people are going to talk about. He wants the internet to know about his racially charged opinions, or else he wouldn't be repeatedly making arrangements to speak about it online. He's going out of his way, not me. That's what I mean about him "not shutting up-" all he needed to do is stop going on streams and getting in arguments with people and focus on his Youtube channel.
Case in point- I didn't subscribe to his Twitter to hear about his politics, nor did I seek this out. I followed him the day I joined Twitter because I really loved his Youtube videos and wanted to keep up with his work. So yeah, I was surprised when several years down the line, this shit started cropping up. But even if I wasn't following him on Twitter, I still would have heard about all this because people have been posting about it on Facepunch.

yeah excellent point
im an idiot if i refuse to go into someone's shop after I hear them on the radio talking about black people polluting the gene pool
Regardless of his stupid as fuck political view that I disagree with, I'll still watch him as an entertainer as long as he doesn't instill his political views into his episodes which should be your main concern because it will polarize the audience.
Hell, I disagree with Tom Cruise being in Scientology, but I still watch his movies.
I think a better example would be watching Clint Eastwood films, who's known to have less than stellar views (of course, you may not watch them). The issue, I think, is that on Youtube most successful content creators are the ones that could be your friend. Celebrities are presented as larger than life figures, yet a Youtuber seems more like your peer, a real person who's real life you're pretty involved in as a fan.

I keep seeing this polluting the gene pool line but nowhere in the comps I've watched or even read has he actually even been quoted saying this, where is it said?

Maybe a better example would be a Mel Gibson film
Jontron is a racist piece of shit and it's time we start actually fucking acknwoleding that
He wouldn't say what he said if he didn't mean it
I was hoping to kind of just respectfully disagree with jontron but, wow, the shit he's saying is REALLY indefensible. Like I could understand having some mild socially conservative viewpoints but the whole white genocide and muddying the white gene pool things are kind of crossing the line, as is grossly dismissing the idea that there is inequality between how people are treated in this country.
Smh Jontron yer fuckin up hard
i have a theory that jontron has a coke addiction which would explain this behavior and all the weight he lost really quickly

MILO YIANNOPOULOS

Not directly what he said but this is where everyone is getting the gene pool from.
