I like, I like. Interesting that they used the same music from the 300 trailer, though. Nine Inch Nails - Just Like You Imagined. I doubt there'd be any 300 parodies of Crysis 2, though, since that stuff fizzled out around late 2008 or whenever.
ffs another trailer with that song are you kidding me. Also I got a new computer when Crysis came out, I guess it's getting to be that time again.
They should have came up with something other than "to be invisible". It didn't seem fitting with "to be strong" and "to be fast". But it did a good job at getting me hyped, it looks amazing. It should have been "to be discreet".
The comments are filled with PC elitism circle jerking.

Of course there is going to be 300 parodies.
I hope my computer can run it. I ran Crysis at 1024x768 on very high. Should that be enough?

You'll be able to run it for sure, just maybe not on the same settings, is what I'm saying.
It should be more optimized seeing as it now goes to consoles too. If you could run crysis, you will be able to run this.
Word is that Crysis 2 has lower specs than the original, not surprising when you consider that the levels have shorter line of sight, fewer curved surfaces and no complex foliage along with the better engine. I hope there's a console button in the graphics settings: just click ps3 or xbox and the grapics settings become the same as the console you chose, from there you can tweak them without the game looking bad. I hope the "alcatraz" guy in the trailer turns out to be nomad in under a different name in order to steal the suit, it sounds like him.
It looks like they took Crysis and made it 100x better. Dis gon' b gud.
Cryengine is better at rendering tropical areas imo
oh nice, actual ingame footage for their trailer.

I read somewhere that if your computer can handle Crysis, it'll handle the second one as well.
Cryengine is better at rendering tropical areas imo
Cryengine 2 undoubtedly was, CE3 on the other hand seems to be good at both. These are console recordings you're seeing, notice how he aims.
Cryengine is better at rendering tropical areas imo
Agreed. I always liked the tropical islands rendered in the Cryengine. Shame they are moving away from it, but it seems like they are doing a good job with the city.
I liked the lush tropical island environment from the first one a lot better. Sure destroyed city is kinda cool but from what I've seen it really doesn't have that "HOLY SHIT LOOK AT THAT" factor the first one had.
Cryengine is better at rendering tropical areas imo
Whatever man, it still looks fantastic and they probably chose this setting so it can be console friendly too. Nevertheless, I love it. Especially what they've done with their post-fx shaders, I like how they made per-object motion blur velocity based now.
That slide shooting :gizz:
ffs another trailer with that song are you kidding me. Also I got a new computer when Crysis came out, I guess it's getting to be that time again.
I wouldn't really say that, the first cry-engines goal was to be the benchmark of open-environments. The second was to be the benchmark in graphics. I'm pretty sure this ones is to be the benchmark of performance.
I love the slide shooting. Also I thought only Nomad, Jester (and the other 2) were issued Nanosuits, I've heard this guy isn't Nomad.
That slide shooting :gizz:
It looks like with their new movement model you can shoot from any angle. Possibly even in freefall?
ffs another trailer with that song are you kidding me. Then you can run crysis 2 on very high or ultra. Beacuse of said optimization.
Cryengine is better at rendering tropical areas imo
I think that it's easier to make a nice looking tropical scene than a city scene
You can see the new Freedom tower in the beginning. I wonder if the aliens are going to crash a spaceship into it.
I love the slide shooting. Also I thought only Nomad, Jester (and the other 2) were issued Nanosuits, I've heard this guy isn't Nomad.
aint the same time period. They probably made more
This is like 2 years after the first Crysis. Give it two months after the release of the game and Editor, and someone will have ported the entire Crysis/Warhead games to CryEngine 3.
I love the slide shooting. Also I thought only Nomad, Jester (and the other 2) were issued Nanosuits, I've heard this guy isn't Nomad.
In warhead you meet several other nanosuit teams. In Crysis 2 you (possibly Nomad) steal the nanosuit 2, a new version of it.
Why was the statue of liberty destroyed in the middle of the city?
