This is mainly to bypass you having to bring a can of coke THEN having to pour the beer in it.

Whenever I try to be creative with soda cans I cut myself. That goes for opening my pet's food cans. They're too sharp. >:[

I don't think rinsing a coke can once is going to hurt anything, a semi-corrosive liquid stays in there for days.
