Does anyone else just find it funny that they've alienated themselves from the population so hard that they actually have to start a campaign informing people that they are in fact human :v:

I was under the impression that they were horses wearing suits of human skin, so I did find this video informative
THEY READ THE NEW YORK TIMES?
IN PUBLIC???

Question is, did they entirely put themselves in that position, or did we help along with that?
I mean what ABOUT the decent Republican? Apparently fuck them because they're all racist morons right? :v:

I think people (especially here) associate all republicans with staunchly conservative republicans. Shit, I'm a republican, but I fucking hate our republican party at the moment. Anyone with half a brain can see that they're mostly old assholes who are too busy pointing fingers and arguing over things like gay marriage (even the few actually conservative republicans I know couldn't care less if gay people marry).
It honestly sucks being a republican at the moment, because right now the party is associated with the loudest, most backwards idiots in all of American politics, even though no, the majority of republicans are in fact not racist morons. Many just don't agree with the current democrat party policies, are advocates of smaller government, etc.
It's not even good to say "I'm a republican." We're associated with racism, obesity, and we're all probably Glenn Beck clones or something. Too bad there aren't more than two major parties in our system :v:
nice try, lizard overlords

So why stay Republican?
So why stay Republican?
probably best representation of the fiscal policies he has in mind and has nowhere else to go
This is very clearly a photoshopped video, you can tell from the data marks.

Shut your mouth peasant.
SonofBrim;46085891']IShit, I'm a republican, but I fucking hate our republican party at the moment.
So then you aren't republican, just conservative. You just vote republican because they are the conservative party in power.
[editline]26th September 2014[/editline]
Also you can blame mixing of economic and social policies into the party system. Parties vote together and currently the Republican party does not favor minorities or women or lgbt. That is why people associate bigots with the Republican party; even if a particular republican isn't bigoted the party votes that way
Debate economics all you want but not giving people rights or treating them differently is rather silly. Especially for the party that "wants more freedom and less government"
I wonder how many of the stock photos used in that were of democrats :v:
they go so far as to note that they can be left handed
"WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU DO THAT"

Well now I'm just terrified. You mean I could get on the bus tomorrow and sit next to a Republican, and I'd never be able to tell?
So why stay Republican?
Well... that's why so many people are jumping ship. I'm probably going to register independent at this point, so are a lot of people I know. Problem is, if the republican party dissolves (and at this rate it will, with the way the GOP has been going about things it'll dead in the water), the democrats won't have any serious opposition, which is bad (as would be any party not having any opposition)

It's not a bad thing to be a republican, democrat, or librarian. But people seem to not care, they only care about arguing.
but fuck religious and political extremists alike. They ruin EVERYTHING for everyone. They're the reason people are so ignorant about political spectrum.
I fucking hate this country.

What other choice do we have? Join the Libertarians? Tea Party?
Right now, anyone who just wants to see equal rights for people, while having some fiscal responsibility is pretty much ousted into either joining some crappy third party or being a democrat.
If I had my way where I live, I would start the North Dakotan Capitalist Party, where the entire ideology is based around promoting the well being of those around you so that everyone has the right to work, and make an honest living for their labor. All of this combined with promoting a true national healthcare system, nationalized banking system, and outright removal of the electoral college system.
this video is much better if you go into it thinking that this is some promo video for synthetic human-like robots, and how we shouldn't be afraid of them because they do stuff just like real people.
Is it bad that I thought this was satire until half way through

If you're displeased with both of the main parties, then there's nothing wrong with going for a third party. Don't feel like it's a wasted vote.

Probably just his political belief.
It would be shitty to just ask someone "yo repub sux, change to liberal matey".
[editline]27th September 2014[/editline]
Also there is alot of Republican bashing here.
I know that recently the party and the GOP have been assy as all hell, but some restraint can be shown here guys.

you don't 'register independent' you just don't support either party and aren't affiliated with either

I was referring to registering with a party for the primaries, because in the primaries it does matter which one you're registered with where I live.
Looking into it seems like the thing to do is to be unaffiliated and declare party lines at the polls.
[editline]hhh[/editline]
For those who aren't familiar with the system, the primaries are where we decide who runs for president from each party in the general election. In most states, you can only vote for a candidate that matches whatever your registered party affiliation is, meaning that if you aren't sure, or want to vote for a third party, or whatever your situation is, your party lines often need to match your choice. It's dumb.
A lot of people get around this by just not caring about or voting in the primaries, but the primaries are really important and ignoring them doesn't solve anything.
I still believe they are fish men from the deepest pits of the oceans.
