I hate normal BC2. It's like Black Ops (A shit storm) the only difference between the two, is Black Ops is a contained shit storm. So everybody knows who and what they're shooting. In BC2 it's the opposite. Nobody knows what they're shooting at, who is where, and which vehicles are friendly or not.
UNLESS I HAVE HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO ONLY JOIN SHITTY SERVERS POPULATED BY RETARDS.
My question is, with that knowledge, would you guys recommend Vietnam? It looks really fun, but so does BC2.

Hell yes, Vietnam is awesome, same applies to BC2. Also I can always tell which vehicles are friendly, who is where etc, it's not hard unless your a complete idiot and enjoy plying on ultra-super-hardcore mode.

Fun Fact: I wasn't implying that I didn't know what I'm doing.
Anyway I joined a hardcore server a few hours ago (I haven't played since April 2010, so telling which ones were and were not hard core was slightly difficult). I actually had fun this time. I haven't tried Vietnam yet.
