Wait...What?
I KNEW IT! The whole thing was one big set-up!
Haha the end it looks like they went yolo and launched pretty much all they got all at once.
That ending tho. Its like the just decided to empty their warehouses and use up all of the fireworks because they expire at the end of 2015 or something.
I went down for it the year before last. Was definitely an amazing experience, and we had an awesome view straight across from the Eye, but to get that we had to get there around 5pm and stand around waiting for 7 hours in a tight crowd, then after the fireworks were up it was so jam packed with people moving through the streets that it took another 2 hours walking slowly shoulder to shoulder with people to get to a tube station. Feet were wrecked by the end and going to the toilets and finding your way back in that crowd was a nightmare, but was still great all in all.
Where I live, the sky is generally filled with pyrotechnics from everywhere at 00:00. Is it not allowed to fire your own fireworks in London? I couldn't really see anything coming from other directions. Otherwise: V: 10/10 A: 2/10
Tax money.
The music ruined it, or maybe people like to listen to music during fireworks
Would be nice if there was a static wide angle shot of the entire thing, with only the sounds of the fireworks.
The music ruined it, or maybe people like to listen to music during fireworks
Generally the music and fireworks are meant to work together, but whoever decided on the music for this years one really fucking dropped the ball. It was just a constantly cutting mess or forgettable tracks that the poor fuckers designing the show apparently just about managed to work with. Previous years were generally quite a bit stronger I think. What a good year to not actually sit at home for new years. I ended up on a hill that might be one of the highest points in my city watching the fireworks around the city from there. Much less disappointing.
I couldn't really see anything coming from other directions.
The skyline is completely littered with them at 0:23.
Why is no one else shooting fireworks? Like there's basically no proper rockets anywhere around, and just some small stuff on the horizon.

Jesus christ that ending. This show needed better music tho.
I thought the music was awesome
