Somehow making COD look new and feel new.
EDIT: I've replaced the E3 video with the actual trailer.
Didn't realize it was cod till near the end and it looked p good
This sold me
But I just want CoD 4
Looks like all Infinity Ward needed was an extra year to make a good game
To be completely honest, I was hoping IW would pull through with Infinite Warfare (I'm admittedly a fan of sci-fi shooters in general) based off of the core concepts they outlined in the post-reveal info they put out.
This trailer has sold me on the game now though, and pending any more info, has heavily increased the likelihood that I'll be buying the new CoD game that's out for the first time in years.
I'm just excited because it's finally a AAA 6DOF space game. Also, that vehicle stuff is not just one mission; it's every mission.
Also, there seem to be a lot of people clamouring about how there's no sound in space but they missed the part in the trailer where the helmet turns on sound simulation.
I don't get the hate for the game, yeah "colonies rebel against earth" isn't exactly groundbreaking territory, but the game play mechanics look pretty fun and it actually looks like the biggest incremental upgrade the cod series has had since the jump from 3 to 4.
that's so weird, every time he kills someone with the grapple it reminds me of what people were worried about when doom had glory kills
it's so slow
I can't see the multiplayer being any less shitty than it has in the past games.
The graphics do not look "next-gen" by any means - at least in comparison to Battlefield 1, which has far larger scale warfare.
It just looks like a lazily put together game in general. The explosions, flares, misc effects look disappointing, to say the least.
The one thing I like is the user interface, which Call of Duty usually does a great job on. I cant say the same for everything else sadly.
The ONLY thing that looks good is Modern Warfare, but I will not spend 60 dollars for a shitty game and a portion of a remastered game. Activision needs to quit rushing Infinity Ward and Treyarch and allow them to create something that is worth the consumers time - not rehashed shit.
It's hilarious - MW Remastered looks graphically better than IW. Activision fully knows that the selling point is MW.

try playing CoD 4
Genuinely the first time I've seen a COD game and have been really interested in it
I'm a real sap for the colonial marines theme and shit so I'll play it for sure
The first time ever that the gameplay looks better than the trailer.
He pulled his helmet off to kill him. Thats badass.
Looks really promising. Is that Liam O'Brien voicing the main character?

Nah, Doom 4 turned out a lot better than the trailers (and the multiplayer betas) made it look.
I'm more interested in the Modern Warfare remaster but this looks alright too I guess.

I think it's Brian Bloom.

Ah, yes, he totally sounds like Matt Horner from SC2, didn't know he voiced Blazkowicz in the new Wolfensteins too.

also this CoD releases on Nov 4th and Titanfall 2 releases on Oct 28th, fuckkkk
I really hope they have dogfighting spaceships in multiplayer
That would convince me to get the game

I hope so too, but I get the feeling it'd be the least popular gamemode

Oh hell yes, love this guy as Blazkowicz.
I was always interested in it, mainly because I'm one of those people who love to see such a large budget go towards something new. I know sci-fi isn't new for video games, we have Halo and Titanfall now, but honestly I love that they're taking their budget and doing something that isn't AMERICA FIGHTS FOREIGNERS AND WINS FUCK YEAH MURICA.
I just wish they went a little further with the sci-fi stuff, but I'll take what I can get.
It looks okay, the game looks amazing but the space combat looks plain and boring. Its just more interactive with the world map, walking around on a station and so on.
it doesn't really look all that different to me gameplay-wise
the setpieces etc are pretty cool but really generic. the grapple looks cool but y'know, it's a tiny feature
cod games have felt really samey (in terms of more than just gameplay) ever since ghosts
All of the complaints I see are that "it's too futuristic"
Well sorry to burst your bubble but Modern Warfare games are bland as fuck and over saturated.
Humanity has progressed to the point that we can travel across and inhabit outer space
But we still use the M4 :v:
Well thats like Doom, we can traverse dimensions and inhabit other planets, but that asshole still carries a break action side-by-side in 12 guage 00 buck.

The one question I have is... how much of this is rail-shootey

Listen, if it hurts, it works.
