As useful as these may be, I can't get over how annoying "Life Hacks" sounds. Edit: I have used that can opener trick and it works well.
I have this as a bottle opener: I think it'll do.
Also life hack of sort.
I have this as a bottle opener: I think it'll do.
I have that exact bottle opener, only in silver. And a normal bottle opener with a corkscrew. And a ring that acts as a bottle opener. And a bottle opener that fits perfectly into the bank card pockets in my wallet. I got them all from a friend who's studying to become a dentist, because he was sick of me opening bottles with my teeth.
The lighter will always be the best improvised bottle-opening method, it's effortless

i don't know how i got by without this nifty trick
The lighter will always be the best improvised bottle-opening method, it's effortless
I've actually tried this dozens of times and still can't figure out the leverage or where to pop it from :v My friend's teeth always work though. Really, he opens bottles with his teeth
Wrap your index finger & thumb around the neck of the bottle. Get the bottom of the lighter flat against the first section of your finger and under the lip of the cap. Push down on the top.
"put your shoes in the freezer to kill off odour producing bacteria" cold doesn't kill bacteria, they'll still be there when the shoes heat up again
Wrap your index finger & thumb around the neck of the bottle. Get the bottom of the lighter flat against the first section of your finger and under the lip of the cap. Push down on the top.
Oh! Oh. Thanks :v:
There is no way hot water will freeze faster than cold water.

scrubbing a nonstick pan with aluminium foil is totally a great idea
I never really trusted Household Hacker too much. Some of the things they put in their videos seem untested and some of them are just bad ideas. For instance, toaster grilled cheese.
There is no way hot water will freeze faster than cold water.
"I haven't paid attention in Physics 101"
I must be on the internet too much, cause I could predict the solutions to these various household problems about 90% of the time.
i don't know how i got by without this nifty trick
how can you not open a damn water bottle
There is no way hot water will freeze faster than cold water.
Water, despite being so common, is a bizarre substance. It behaves in ways that science can't even explain sometimes. For instance, consider that icebergs can float on the ocean, despite them both being mainly water.
oh look I got a bunch of dumb ratings and no explanation about it thanks guys you're a real smart and friendly bunch
scrubbing a nonstick pan with aluminium foil is totally a great idea
I can't tell, is this sarcasm? if so, why is it a bad idea (never heard of it before)
I can't tell, is this sarcasm? if so, why is it a bad idea (never heard of it before)
Non-stick pots and pans have a layer of non-stick coating along the inside of the pan. So scrubbing bits of food off with crunched up aluminum foil is a sure way to ruin the coating and the pan would then cease to be "non-stick". It's not advised to use any metal utensils in non-stick pots and pans.
oh look I got a bunch of dumb ratings and no explanation about it thanks guys you're a real smart and friendly bunch
i learned that hot water freezes quicker and cold water boils quicker in elementary school. I have a gerber utility blade that's all stainless steel and works really great for opening beers. doesn't dig chunks out of it like it would with a lighter
Water, despite being so common, is a bizarre substance. It behaves in ways that science can't even explain sometimes. For instance, consider that icebergs can float on the ocean, despite them both being mainly water.
you're not serious are you :v:

Handiest thing you can own. I have a Leatherman Wave and end up using it almost every day. Gerber is also a great company, I have their combo axe and it hasn't failed me after like 20 hours of chopping down saplings.
