One thing to note, is when this update comes out (March 30th) there will be a free trial weekend, meaning anyone who doesn't own the game already will be able to play it from March 30th to April 3rd. Titanfall 2 is a great game and everyone should at least try it.
Northstar Prime's execution is so goddamn dope I can't wait to never get it because I'm bad with Northstar
Not gonna stop me from throwing my money at Respawn though
this game is fucking dope
the campaign is easily the best fps campaign i've played in a long time
worth to buy this game is well made
As a devout Grapple user, I can attest that the Curb Check made me squart across the room
Got it real cheap of the Origin winter sale (think it was like 15USD for a couple of days) but I haven't even installed it yet, should really get around to playing it

You should, like right now.
Despite absolutely loving the campaign for TF2 I never did check out the multiplayer.
I'm thinkin I should change that

It's amazing. I remember one time I grappled to a guy, took out his battery, and grappled to one of my team and gave them the battery. Was so fucking fun.

I hope they get put into other easy games because the closest thing they're going to get to mercy from me is if I use a loadout I'm not familiar with
With TF2 is it easy to just move over from TF1? I'm extremely good at TF1, but don't know if that'll make much difference with the new one.

It's different, but a lot of the same still applies. All you really have to adjust to is the new sliding motions and gameplay aspects, controls still feel just as fluid as before. I transitioned over just fine.
Sweet, any xb1 players should pm me their names, I'd love to play with a group I can talk tactics to. Hard being a lone wolf.

Is there any way to preload the data for free weekends? I have a feeling this game is probably big and my internet is pretty lackluster, so downloading it might take more than two days.
Looks fun, I wanted to play the first one but my internet was even worse then, now I can actually play most multiplayer games.
How good is the community? I'm going to guess its better than the firsts but is it decently populated on PC?

People generally don't talk in-matches, and it's easy to learn from the SP campaign.
The game has a steady playerbase of about a thousand people, and matches load up relatively quickly.
Oh here's a question. You guys remember that weapon your Titan could get, it was like a grenade launcher, but it fired 3 balls that would land, roll a little then explode? You could add on a ammo capacity upgrade to it to increase the amount of balls you gave to the enemy. Is that still a purchasable weapon you can get?
I use to love fucking up groups of enemy Titans and grunts by using dashcore, propelling my self forward while launching my grenade launcher balls at them and just sliding outta the danger zone like I was Kenny Loggins.
Also is the electric smoke still in as well?
I wish I had video recording of my matches to show you all, but I have no idea how to upload xbox1 videos.
But and this is 100% truth, I have no reason to lie about a game:
Playing a map on TF1, it's that mining map, with the big ass saw thing.
There's this little area near the edge of the map where there's like a rock pillar connecting to the wall, that you can use for cover or just to run circles around.
Anyways, killed this one kid about 12 times, he gets fed up with it, make it his job to personally hunt me down. He spots me and starts chasing me, I lead him to that area,
as he was in his titan. Run around the rock pillar until I can jump on his Titan.
Jump on the back of his Titan, grunts and robot grunts trying to help him. Blast them and kill them, get the voice "Titan is ready for downfall".
Call my Titan in on top of me. Kid proceeds to jump out to kill me. I jump off and run back so I can take a look at the situation.
He comes around with the smart pistol, with his Titan switched to follow mode, right before him or his Titan could do anything,
my Ogre came smashing down on him and his Titan.
2-3 minutes later get a audio message of autistic screeching.

The closest thing to grenades for a titan is the Scorch titan or other titan's abilities. No rolling balls that explode as far as i know.
Electric smoke still exists; titans have it and pilots can have an electric smoke grenade.

The Triple Threat's no longer in the game I'm afraid, but one of the 2 Stryder-chassis Titans, Ronin, uses a large shotgun with a similar model as its primary weapon, the Leadwall.
Additionally, there's a class of Pilot weapons called Grenadiers, including an MGL-style nade launcher that shoots delayed-detonation sticky nades called the Softball- I think you might like it.
And yes, all Titans have electric smoke, and pilots can use electric smoke nades.

The triple threat is in the campaign but not MP. I think all the titan weapons except for the Arc Cannon showed up in the campaign but only the leadwall, splitter rifle, predator cannon, 40mm cannon, plasma railgun, and thermite launcher are in the MP.

MP is much different compared to TF|1 even though the basic premise is the same.
In TF1, you could play it like COD and do well but in TF|2 people are much, much better at the game and flying all over the place and playing the game like this only faster and better.
I was actually good at the first game but got my ass wrecked horribly for a few days when I went into TF|2's mulitplayer.
The movement mechanics are necessary in this game, staying on the ground is for noobs and grunts, all the skilled pilots are fighting above
You should, like right now.
Have played it for like five hours since I got home from work; hands down one of the greatest SP campaigns I've played in years. Shame it hasn't gotten the recognition and massive player base it deserves
