Fascinating.

Hard to judge the thickness but by the looks of it it seems very safe. It seems homogenous, very clear with long closed cracks, indicating it's dense and been laying for a while

Looks thick enough to me.

Looks can be deceiving

It got cracks in which mean it not safe.
I mean a Frisbee doesn't indicate the safety level of a big ass sheet of Ice really.

Ice cracks and refreezes all the time, it's fine.
If it's grey that's when you don't skate on it.
And yeah the frisbee doesn't indicate anything but there are also two people skating on it as well
Guy makes cool frisbee on ice video, people debate if ice is safe. Really?
fuck the ice, why is no-one asking how the frisbee be doin' that shit?

basically
Lack of friction is a funky thing.
The ride never ends. Well technically it did, but i will still believe.

Lol, you really don't know what you're talking about. People literally race cars on frozen lakes like that.

what about frisbees though???
this needs some eurobeat
ice skating cinematography is the coolest shit that I never thought i'd want to do
Looks can be deceiving
That's why they make ice picks for testing ice thickness????? nobody just walks onto ice and goes "yeah this feels good", there are fucking tools for this stuff haha
Pack it up folks, that ice doesn't look icy enough to my expertly trained eyes. Its obviously a hoax

Not really. Cracks naturally appear in any ice over time due to temperature changes and weather. If small cracks appear perpendicular to your skates, the ice is very weak. If the crack is open (visibly contains water), the adjacent ice is weaker. But cracks like those shown in the video (long, sealed) scarcely affects the integrity of the ice, and are actually indicative of ice that's been sitting for a while.
If the ice has no cracks at all you've got reason to be suspicious, since it may indicate it's very fresh and therefor possibly thin unless the temperature has been extremely low.
Now try it on lake superior in the winter and see if it goes all the way across
Those are some cool physics happening on that frisbee
