Found this really weird channel with over 26,500 videos, each just a color and a tone. If you play some of them at the same time, It creates different tones. Does anyone have any explanation for this?
Russian brainwashing experiment.
I guess the soundwaves are hitting your ears at different frequencies?
I can differentiate between each video, it just sounds like 3 sounds overlapping, not entirely different tones.

IMO it's probably the speakers attempting to play the frequencies at the same time but are unable to for some types of speakers (which is why some people hear it and others don't) and you get odd things happening (if anyone can confirm or correct this, it would be great). Off-topic, but who has the time to upload that many different frequencies to a single channel?
This is awesome, just open a few random ones at a time.

Open these two at the same time:
I like how there's still compression artifacts on a single colour. GG youtube.

I believe one video (I think the yellow one has a slightly flatter pitch) has a tiny frequency difference of only a couple Hz so when you play them together, you can hear the beat frequency fluctuations. Also, that is the biggest video compilation I have ever seen in one profile.
My fucking brain is fucking melting what the fuck? I played all the posted ones in this thread together Also playing the 3 in the first post together makes it sound like the low rumbling of an engine.
Aleksander Mikhailovich Rodchenko was a Russian artist, sculptor, photographer and graphic designer.
Russian Mind Control! :ohdear: AHH when I play some of them, my brain feels weird but when I turn of the sound it stops!
And the best thing about beats made from interference like this: When they go away.
Whoa. Play those two and the first one OP posted.
Binaural beats or binaural tones are auditory processing artifacts, or apparent sounds, the perception of which arises in the brain for specific physical stimuli.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binaural_beats I don't think it's just one tone in each video, more like two. Each tone is only a slight frequency apart and played in different speakers; 300Hz in the left speaker and 310Hz in the right. This difference is something you're brain recognizes and can actually affect how you feel physically.

I've heard of this technique, as it can be used without headphones, but haven't studied it at all. Either way, it's a wild effect and definitely affects you physically. I use an iPhone binaural beats app sometimes before I go to sleep and it seems to help me pass out instantly. One thing I used to do with recorded sounds back before 3D sound became widespread was change the phase by up to 20-30ms between the right and left channels and then change the frequency by a few Hertz for one of the channels. It made the sound seem like it was swimming around in my head, kind of like a pseudo-3D effect. Good times.

I think we're forgetting the point here, he has 26,500+ videos of this.
