You are thinking of the classical period, the romantic, impressionistic and baroque period are also considered classical music.
It's not something I'd listen to while playing games.

You see, the issue I have with Classical music is that in most pieces there'll be a theme or something good and when that comes in it's fantastic, but then it goes away and it's as boring as fuck for the rest of the time and I go all limpdick.
Kind of music that goes really well with a racing simulator.
1)play all the songs at the same time
2)raise the volume
3)????
4)PROFIT

As a crumpet loving Brit, I take offense to you generalist posters. Not much though, I doubt I'll lose sleep over it. Mainly just weep a little and lament over my crooked, dirty teeth.
Gotta say though, nothing beat's Gustav Holst's 'The Planets' suite, it's beautiful, it's elegant and it beats the shit out of anything Bach ever composed. He's just a dirty karut with an ear for harmonics.
