I once tried GOMAD. I stopped when it took me 2 hours to shit out a fist sized rock.
hes got this real "i'm a shithead" vibe
who hurt him

was it his moustache gap
This guy needs to shave
the struggle of wanting a beard but having shitty facial hair that grows in patches, i can relate.
This guy's argument boils down to "I eat more than you so you don't have a fast metabolism."
guy seems like a huge tool but he isn't entirely wrong
skinny people who say they can't gain weight really are overestimating how much food they eat most of the time
skinny people who say they can't gain weight really are overestimating how much food they eat most of the time
It really is the case.
I'm skinny and basically always have been but I've stopped acting like I have a fast metabolism after eating a bunch of shit food like mcdonalds or KFC because I don't each much for the rest of the day.
This guy needs to shave
Looks like it's just in that awk stage. I bet if he gave it a week or two more it would have a more thick foundation. [sp] But jesus fuck you could put five Hummers in the hair gap between his upper lip.[/sp]
Skinny-fat exists for a reason. Skinny people can get unfit, but it's not like you'd think with normal fat. It's easier to hide.
I don't think people actually blame being skinny on having a fast metabolism anymore. But this guy doesn't offer any actual helpful advice at all
"you should be able to dish out 5000 calories easily"
"do you have full-fledged meals every two hours?"
This doesn't help at all. You can't just eat more when you get nauseous from eating too much from your last meal. His suggestion of a liquid diet just gives you diarrhea everyday too.
Honestly, the best way to start is just make sure you're having 3 big meals a day while supplementing with a protein shake or two

Also this guy sounds like BroScienceLife but without the self-awareness
It's been shown that the difference between people with "fast" metabolisms and people with "slow" metabolisms over varying weights is no more than 5 percent. The fastest of fast (non enhanced by drugs) metabolism only burns 5 percent more calories than the slowest of slow metabolism.
A commonly cited study displayed how overweight people tend to greatly underestimate how much they take in, whereas underweight people greatly overestimate how much they take in. It can be tough to eat more when you aren't used to it, but trying to blame it on some kind of crazy lightning fast metabolism or whatever is something I still see people trying to do. That, or fat people use it to justify why they are fat and "lucky" skinny people have faster metabolisms.
I had a hard time growing past a certain point, my father and other coaches explained it to me this way. You don't stop training when your muscles burn, that's when the real work is being done. Therefore, you don't stop eating once you're full, you start growing when you push beyond that point. I don't necessarily agree with GOMAD, it sounds pretty miserable, but it is a pretty decent way of hammering in the calories when someone is used to eating like a bird. Definitely not a long-term solution, but an *okay* short term one I guess. The way I gained weight when I was a skellington was to add 2 peanut butter sandwiches to every meal. Normal breakfast, then sandwiches. Normal lunch, then sandwiches. Normal dinner, then sandwiches. Put on weight pretty quickly that way.

I'm skinny, and some people told me I have fast metabolism.
I'm not one to care or research this stuff, so I'm like "oh ok"

My stomach is a god damn black hole and I've been kicked out of all you can eat restaurants and I'm 5'11" and 130 pounds. I know for a fact I don't overestimate that shit when I horrify my friends with how much I eat.
[editline]5th March 2017[/editline]
Hell I go into eating competitions all the time as well and usually end up winning, there are people like me out there who cannot gain weight even if their life depended on it. Even when I go to Fatburger I'll eat two XXXL burgers (one alone is over 3000 calories) with a medium burger and I won't be full whatsoever. It's fucking ridiculous.
[editline]5th March 2017[/editline]
Also there's people like this who eat just like me who don't gain weight at all no matter how much they shove in their face.

The reason is because that the body can only intake a maximum calories an hour. I phrased that wrong but for example:
You eat 5,000 calories of a meal, your body can only process 1,000-2,000 of it before it's already on the way out.
Eating huge meals isn't that problematic, the problem is always stuffing your face with high calorie foods every hour of the day.

I eat all the time, well over 5000 a day at times and I still don't gain weight whatsoever. Hell people told me by the time I hit 20 I'd start getting fat with the way I eat but here I am at 24 and skinnier than I was in high school, perhaps it's just luck or I have a tapeworm I'm not aware of that I have had all my life. I mean hell I eat like 4 full meals while watching an episode of a show or a movie because I eat while I'm bored, besides a fast metabolism I really don't know how to explain how I'm still extremely skinny if a fast metabolism apparently only makes a tiny difference.

You are overestimating your intake or underestimating your activity. It's simple as that. If you've somehow managed not gaining from eating excess calories you should talk to a doctor.

If you actually took the time to properly count the calories in your meals I think you'd be in for a surprise
This video was supposed to be about bodily image and having confidence. But the way he's parading himself it just ends up confirming his own insecurities and stereotyping the culture behind it.

Perhaps I should see a doctor because I know I eat a ton, I know it is possible to stretch out your stomach from eating a lot in one go, which is why a lot of competitive eaters tend to be skinny. Maybe I do move around more often than I think and burn more calories as a result, after all I do travel a lot. I haven't ever really cared much for my body and what I do with it whenever I eat, but genetics and the way people's bodies work is always interesting because of how different it can all be.
spot the guy with self esteem issues

For starters, count every calorie in your meals and drinks for a week. Sometimes it's simple, like reading the value on a box, sometimes you have to inspect ingredients. Yes, that means weighing every homemade meal ingredient before it's prepared and/or cooked, including spices, oils etc, all while absolutely minimizing guesstimating like "ah its just some mashed potatoes with sausage, it's probably ~500 calories", don't do that. It often is surprisingly less or surprisingly more, I ran into that myself. After that, if your calorie intake is truly ~2x greater than men's daily intake for maintaining weight (2000-2200), see a doctor.

There's a reason why I removed that last part of what I said, I did look into it and perhaps there is an underlying issue elsewhere.

5000 is a really fucking huge number, that's why I've assumed you didn't count it properly, that's a common mistake
