Outcome not so good [HD]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvidoBBJSRA[/HD] Honestly speaking, I'm ashamed how the rest of the world thinks everyone who's finnish is like this, and sadly well yeah they're right, atleast I'm an exception "Man of few words" "That's how Finns are" Yeah, fuck you too. Though it could have been much much worse. These guys are cool and stuff. It is pretty cute in retrospect <3 They look like such nice guys too woah everything is so cool, I take back everything I said before.
Haha, love it. Finnish people are no bullshitters.
Aw man that wasn't so bad, the guy isn't too fluent, I thought it was cute :(
Well yeah, but I don't like being grouped in with other people and labeled as a silent alcoholic finn with a horrid english accent. I wish I was swedish.
To be fair, Kimmel is asking closed ended questions so how else can they respond except "yes, "no", "it was good", etc. And the guy who said all Finnish people are like that was probably saying it to extend his response a little since he looked like he felt a bit awkward

I think it was just the whole situation. It must have felt so unreal that you are quite lost for words. Dont think they really thought it was going to happen beforehand.
Honestly speaking, I'm ashamed how the rest of the world thinks everyone who's finnish is like this, and sadly well yeah they're right, atleast I'm an exception
I am quite certain that there are a lot of exceptions in our people. Maybe you should stop stereotyping your own people.
why the fuck would you be ashamed of being thought of as quiet to me not blabbering constantly about trivial shit is a virtue
Being quiet is one thing, being finnish is a whole different level.
I'm not one of your people
Then why did you post this?
Well yeah, but I don't like being grouped in with other people and labeled as a silent alcoholic finn with a horrid english accent.

I wish I was swedish.
Why? Finns are fucking metal.
I'm not one of your people
wtf Dude there's nothing wrong being Finnish.
Why? Finns are fucking metal. wtf Dude there's nothing wrong being Finnish.
Well, it's simple then. I simply don't like it. I live in a place that doesn't have many people here, yet when somebody comes across me when I walk on a street and doesn't say hi or anything, makes me wanna kill myself. It's dark and cold most of the time, makes me wanna kill myself. Suicide rates and alcoholism off the charts, makes me wanna kill myself. Taxes are fucking ridiculous and everything is restricted or criminalized with a fuckton of people having overly conservative values, makes me wanna kill myself.
Only time I heard about Finnish culture was through Top Gear. According to them, its a pleasant place with good drivers.
If someone asks you a question that can be answered "Yes" or "No" there is absolutely no reason to go on babbling about other things when answering. NO EXCEPTIONS

NO EXCEPTIONS
I don't know man, I like to talk. If a guy is interviewing me and asks me a yes or no question, sure as fuck I'd go in detail, it's an interview, yes or no interviews are boring and they make you wanna kill yourself

There is also no reason for strangers to greet you on the street just because 'not a lot of people live here'. I dont think the (relatively great) state your country is in makes you want to kill yourself. Have you considered it being something else? Perhaps some personal issues that make you project this behavior unto your surroundings?

I don't like suicide and alcohol, taxing is ridiculous in Finland. And a holy shitton of other little details that just make me wanna live elsewhere.
Uhh, I didn't know that in every other country everyone you come across on street says you "hi" even if they dont know you. I don't know what you have against us, but obviously some people have hurt your feelings.

NO EXCEPTIONS
Unless you're on television being interviewed. The two Finnish people in OPs videos handled it nicely and gave the rest of the audience a nice lighthearted laugh, though. So I don't see the big deal.
Uhh, I didn't know that in every other country everyone you come across on street says you "hi" even if they dont know you. I don't know what you have against us, but obviously some people have hurt your feelings.
Yes my feelings have been hurt and I have also been brainwashed by the U.S media. And the whole people saying Hi thing, well yeah. What I meant more by that is that people who come across me always look really old and angry and don't even want to look at you. People are legit afraid of other people around where I live, it's not fun. It's starting to take it's toll on me as well. Also my neighbors have no sense of aesthetics either. My neighbors used to have such really pretty trees, really big ones just looking nice. But they've all cut 'em down now, leaving nothing but a barren ugly wasteland. Makes me wanna kill myself.
I live in a place that doesn't have many people here, yet when somebody comes across me when I walk on a street and doesn't say hi or anything, makes me wanna kill myself.
Quite a trivial reason to kill yourself for
Suicide rates
...are nothing special by international standards
and alcoholism off the charts
looks fairly average to me still pretty average nothing special yet not seeing it yet
stuff
Interesting But my place, near Russian border, eastern finland. Fuck this place, fuck this place really hard.
maybe try some other places before you denounce the entire country then
maybe try some other places before you denounce the entire country then
They were better. But I'd still be elsewhere. It's a personal issue, but I must do what makes me feel better, I just find Finland an extremely boring place to live in. Some sort of insecurity, maybe. But it just makes me die inside when people say Finns are silent and never talk anything. We had a swedish guest at our school and the first thing she said "Finns are quiet". Also one thing I don't understand why I don't like it, but I just hate it when people start saying Finland has the most badass army and can kick Russia's ass extremely hard, just like back in the 40's. It was luck.
