These videos are sooooo good.
If you don't start crying the first time you finish watching Jurassic Bark you aren't human.
If I ever wanted to go full time youtube I'd take some inspiration from this guy; come up with a solid foundation/idea for videos, dedicate some passion to the editing and production values, and make videos that you yourself want to make
If you don't start crying the first time you finish watching Jurassic Bark you aren't human.
The first movie ruined it.
Anyone have a link to the Calvin and Hobbes one? It looks like it's been taken down.
The first movie ruined it.
If people are watching it in order then no. Jurassic Bark was 2002 and the first movie was 2007.
imo it's good that it died such an early death (relatively speaking). would hate for it to turn into whatever the fuck the simpsons is now.
Too bad the series sort of went downhill when Comedy Central took it under its wing but hey it was inevitable, least it wasn't prolonged even further.
Anyone have a link to the Calvin and Hobbes one?
imo it's good that it died such an early death (relatively speaking). would hate for it to turn into whatever the fuck the simpsons is now.
A neverending nightmare of mediocrity, on an eternal deathmarch to become the longest running TV show in history.
:snip:
The last seasons werent very good, was quickly turning into South Park-esque "heres a news item or trend to make surfave level comedy over" shit
what's surfave level comedy?
The last seasons werent very good, was quickly turning into South Park-esque "heres a news item or trend to make surfave level comedy over" shit
Don't ask me to watch episodes like Attack of The Killer App or Proposition Infinity ever again please. The episodes oddly surrounding Zoidberg and finally giving him some slack though (i.e: The Tip of the Zoidberg, Viva Mars Vegas, & Stench and Stenchibility) were actually really cute despite their flaws.
This guy is one my top Youtubers right now. And now I'm reminded I need to rewatch Futurama.
I love futurama so much. apart from that horrible episode where bender undergoes a sex change which was basically an extended jab at "lol trannies" without a single redeeming factor. and the iphone parody one. you can see a bit of the episode in this video (1:00). my favourite episode was Luck of the Fryrish
I bet there is plenty they can go maybe have more episodes that deal in with millions of years in past and future like that kind of stuff
As some have already said already, I'm glad the show finally had a proper ending. A lot of my favorite shows (King of the Hill, Futurama, and Ed,Edd,&Eddy) always ended right around the time they were starting to stagnate and decided to have a proper finale, instead of going the way of Simpsons and Family Guy.
Futurama is not only one of the few cartoons that has a fantastic ending, it actually has 3 great endings (Devils Hands Are Idle Playthings, Overclockwise, Meanwhile)
Futurama is not only one of the few cartoons that has a fantastic ending, it actually has 3 great endings (Devils Hands Are Idle Playthings, Meanwhile, actual finale)
Isn't Meanwhile the actual finale?
Isn't Meanwhile the actual finale?
I think he might have confused it with Into the Wild Green Yonder which I believe was also suppose to be another "finale".
kaptainkristian just annoys me now. His first couple videos were good because his style of video essays wasn't done before, but this is just so meh. It's so formulaic. It's basically a Wikipedia summary with some Adult Swim style editing sprinkled in. Then he repeats how they DEFINED the genre (or some shit) over and over to get the circlejerk started. And boom, everyone eats it up.
I can't remember, it's the episode where Bender turns himself into a supercomputer and hypothesizes Fry and Leelas ultimate fate
Oh yeah Overclockwise. That's a great episode.

It was weirdly beautiful and incredibly sweet to watch, gave me goosebumps.

Unpopular opinion but I was more emotional on Idle Hand's ending than Jurassic Bark or Luck of the Fryish. That fact it was a finale aside, it gave a pretty good scene on how even though Fry was bad at playing, Leela could still see the beauty, not literally, but deep inside.

The Late Phillip J. Fry is fucking fantastic and even though it isn't a tearjerker it affected me more than any other episode in the series
Everyone always says Luck Of The Fryish and Jurassic Bark are the most emotional episodes but the one where Leela spends most of the episode in a coma with Fry crying over her bedside begging her to wake up is pretty fucking heavy and it gets me every time. Also, literally any episode with Zapp is instantly god-tier. Especially the one about the cattle rustlers on Mars.
That episode where professor built a time machine and they fucked up so much that they watched the big crunch actually made me super depressed when i watched it, like that time is just so valuable but also fucked me up with the theory of "another big bang" and history just repeating itself which made me wonder if we're stuck in a time loop It did a really good job of just presenting the audience with some difficult questions and theories in a humorous format that let you think about it after watching the show, something that only a handful of tv shows have achieved
The Amazonia episode has always been my favorite. I don't know why, but most of the jokes just work for me and is just very quotable overall.
