This is some amazing stuff. I would probably just be scared shitless.
Why does it always happens to the Asians Poor guy
Just brilliant, you always need to be on alert in a job like this.
It's scary
Incredible video. The guy couldn't have been in better hands, he was very lucky.
absolute pros
And this is why you need lifeguards Also lol "for five minutes he was dead on the beach, for four minutes they kept him alive on the sand" what
there's an extra 3 mins on the video. just the life guards talking about it.
I experienced all of that when my dad appointed me the casualty of the day at the local aquarium. (rescue exercise) So I had to fake a seizure in full scuba and pass out in the water on the entry/exit deck.
I thought the guy falling into the sea was the case at the start
Did that ambulance guy just call one of the lifeguards black? 6:36

I'm an event first aider in the Red Cross, and I've had to do this twice. This was actually the video they showed us so we'd know what to expect. [editline]9th May 2011[/editline] From what I remember this guy actually suffered brain damage afterwards due to lack of oxygen.
And this is why you need lifeguards Also lol "for five minutes he was dead on the beach, for four minutes they kept him alive on the sand" what
dragging him on to the beach and establishing life signs takes a minute, everything after that is life support
This is some amazing stuff. I would probably just be scared shitless.
Something to remember with CPR. If they aren't breathing and they need CPR, they are dead. Trying to do CPR is better than doing nothing, because it atleast gives them a chance. Even if you do it wrong or break their sternum or something while doing CPR, anything is better than dead. If you ever have to do CPR just remember to keep doing it until an ambulance arrives and the paramedics tell you to stop so they can take over.
mistakes cpr seemed slightly slow, probably could have been deeper too ventilation took too much time AED pads were applied with no cpr other than that it's an amazing video, almost never going to follow procedure perfectly

he wasn't going 100 bpm, he was close, but no you'll know effective, aggressive CPR when you see it
fast cpr is ineffective and exhausts you
fast cpr is ineffective and exhausts you
100 bpm is not fast cpr, full chest recoil is achieved, exhaustion probably isn't an issue with 4 lifeguards surrounding the scene
100 bpm is not fast cpr, full chest recoil is achieved, exhaustion probably isn't an issue with 4 lifeguards surrounding the scene
Doesn't really matter if it was fast or slow, he still survived.
What a thrill it must be to save someone's life.
I'm a lifeguard and I approve of what they did
That's really heartwarming.
i had to watch this when i went on a first aid course a few months ago.
100 bpm is not fast cpr, full chest recoil is achieved, exhaustion probably isn't an issue with 4 lifeguards surrounding the scene
Your Cardiopulmonary resuscitation did not meet my standards please remain dead until you have full chest recoil.
"You're great, you blokes!"
Australia Fuck Yea
What a thrill it must be to save someone's life.
What a thrill it must be to be the one to survive.
Just to be clear(this is a question) just helping somebodies heart pump blood via pushing at that tempo isn't enough, correct? You'd need to help put oxygen into their body? I heard the whole "giving breaths" thing was unneeded.
amazing work!
