As usual they advertise a bunch of things that you can apparently do with friends that aren't actually possible in the game besides scripted sequences from singleplayer. Like scale buildings, go in space, or ride in jeeps.
I thought it was a fun trailer.
CoD has awesome trailers
I never got the point of advertising a game with a live-action trailer if it displays absolutely zero and nothing about the actual game or even tries to reference it anyhow.
I mean yeah this is nice, lots of pretty FX and explosions, but what does it tell you about the game? Nothing.
"It's fun"? Uh okay, we don't need a trailer to tell us that, we'll judge that ourselves later.
"Everyone can play"? Assuming they're of age, but yes, thanks, we knew that.
If only the game exactly like the trailer.
The point of these trailers isn't to go over in-depth the features of the game. It's to grab your attention and give the brand a positive image, which this certainly does- especially to the 'casual' (sorry) audience.
This is the same concept they used last time.
The commercial is still alright, though.
maybe they should spend as much money on making a good game as they do on making good ads for it

I dunno sometimes trailers that don't show any game play at all are the ones that get you the most hype

to be fair you also knew how it was going to play - this is just a wide-reaching reminder that it releases soon
I can't say I like CoD's gameplay that much but I'll be damned if they don't know how to make a good trailer.
I thought this was a terrible trailer that showed nothing what the game was actually going to be like while playing.

Fish AI and dog rendering tech already cost them 60 million, they need to get some revenue back.
A lot of die-hard cod fans are not going to buy this game.

They say that every time then get it a few months later when their friends do.

I wouldn't call myself a die-hard fan but I've bought every CoD game released so far and I have to say there is almost nothing appealing in Ghosts. While CoD is definitely an iterative series, the titles following CoD4, with the exception of MW3, all generally had a few features or aspects that made me enjoy the similar gameplay but from new angles. There is none of that as far as I can tell in Ghosts. Squads gamemodes and Extinction might be interesting but the meat and potatoes of CoD is the multiplayer stuff and I'm just not seeing the appeal.
Still interested in Treyarch though. Thoroughly enjoyed Black Ops 2.
So wait do you get to go to space?

It captured the feeling of having a really good match with a bunch of friends. I don't really like CoD but I liked the trailer.

One level, campaign.
I like the part where Megan Fox explodes.

it's only going to be a small part of the game I bet.
