straight up facts my dudes
Might be just me but the whole "is this gay thing actually gay   " meme that's been done in like every possible form now is really quickly starting to wear thin on me.
"haha u guys i used math on something that math doesn't work on" well done, my dude, totally something that hasn't been done to death before.
I dunno, maybe this is what overexposure to memes does to you. Unless it's super cryptic and abstract bullshit, it has no effect no me anymore.

Nothing wrong with having a refined meme palette.
Fellas....
- The no homo rule: As we all know you can do most anything as long as you say "no homo" before or after. Been there many times myself, in the giving or recieving end of a brojob and you almost forget to say no homo after letting one out. Can be awkward!
- The ball touching rule: THIS RULE OVERRIDES NO HOMO RULE as we all know, its only gay if the balls touch, so you're pretty much good to do anything as long as the balls don't touch. Keep in mind that if you decide to do sack to sack it will be gay EVEN IF YOU SAY NO HOMO.
-The moon rule: "Its not gay if its on the moon" pretty straightforward, this rule even overrides the ball touching rule. this is the complete wild wild west of no homo.
-The its not gay if its a 3 way rule: Yes this also applies to 3 men. It's just a lads' friendly if its 3 guys. Literally nothing gay about this.
when 2 men kiss its no balls touching so its actually just really straight brotherly bonding, and thats something more people need to understand.....
This is a 5 minute long video that tells it's shitty joke in the first 30 seconds.
History confirms:

I've been wondering recently if popular humor has gotten measurably more abstract/complex since memes have gone mainstream. Now that we, as individuals, have exposure to not only a much larger variety of jokes and joke formats, but get them from a much larger and more diverse set of people.
Who the hell decides to paint a room like that? Looks like the color scheme you'd see in a nerf commercial.
It's only gay if you fondle their balls and they have a Rami Malek mask on

The best memes are funny on their own and don't truly require context to be funny. Also when it's done nigh infinite times it degrades to no humor and eventually deteriorates into wanting to not hear it again.

as annoying as it can be, it's a hell of a lot better than vitriolic homophobia and gay-panic-esque episodes of shit. I sorta feel like, if nothing else, it might be a sign that homosexuality (especially male-male) is being seen as less repulsive/repugnant/awful than it used to be.
Granted, it's still somewhat making a joke out of someone's sexuality, but at least the joke isn't intended to tear down, degrade, or wound gay men
tldr memes can signal progress in civil rights? not the craziest thing to occur lately

Memes are a facet of culture and you can actually monitor people's general opinions through them, it's kind of fascinating.
Memes are ideas, more than just the images they're often plastered upon in order to spread. While memes can never truly die, their prevalence is an indicator of larger themes going on in modern society.
Just a reminder that MGR:R's Monsoon some really cool dialog about memes (the proper usage of the word) but it's often overshadowed by our association for the word 'meme(s)' and the stupid images on the internet, as well as his VA's ridiculous performance:

I agree with you wholeheartedly.
I don't really like this term, but I think that's a fundamental problem with "normie" culture. Internet culture moves crazy fast, and requires extensive background knowledge. Unless you are actively participating in this culture on, honestly, a daily basis - you'll get completely lost. Usually in similar situations you can use sources of knowledge, like news services, or some community kept databases (think comic books and Wikipedia) - but with memes and fads, there's really not much you can use. There's stuff like Know Your Meme - but that is usually really late and sometimes ridiculously out of touch.
So when people outside of some culture "get" some fad, it's usually a disaster. They're late, they don't really get it. Think Harambe or Pepe. Honestly, the whole "rare Pepes" thing was just embarrassing.

spoken like someone that doesn't know just how destructive memes can be
One New Years, me and my best friend were drunk on top of our friend's roof in Brooklyn. We decided to pee off the roof as there was a backyard below and a storm began to brew. The rain started as we were finishing up and we looked into each others eyes.
We turned to eachother and yelled Spartan-esc roars and began slapping our dicks together whilst making sword clashing noises. Thunder boomed in the sky and the battled lasted about 30 secones. All while his girlfriend sat on the other side with another friend sipping on her whiskey.
Is this gay?

This post is gay, below I've linked my supplemental material containing proofs, implementation code, and slides pdf:

I did the math and research. According to Wikipedia, the average length of a penis varies from 5.1 to 5.9 inches. I went for a safe 5.5 inches for an average. The average radius from the core center of the penis to the skin on the outside is .75 inches. From this we can roughly find the volume with pi timed radius squared times height. This comes around as the average penis being around 9.72 cubic inches. Next I found the volume of the average human adult male. I had to first find the weight, which according to Alex Schlessingerman's "The Physics Factbook" is 70kg or 154 pounds. Weight is found by multiplying an object mass by the force of gravity, 9.81 meters per second. After taking gravity out of the equation, the average mass of an adult human male is 7.14 kg. I then found the volume by dividing this number by the average density of a human, according to Wikipedia, 985 kg per meter cubed. The volume of the adult male was then found to be .0072516316 cubic meters. Utilizing the volume of the average penis I found earlier, 9.72 in cubed, I get .0001592828 meters cubed. This means the penis is 2.19% of an adult male's volume.Assuming a lack of testosterone or female hormones makes the person a female, balls ignored for ease, fucking a trap is only 2.19% homosexual.•

nothing's a joke anymore, everything's a meme. if you say an actual joke nowadays it's just a "dad joke." or maybe that phase is already over. Memes have made me posh and picky over jokes. JOKES for fucks sake
