The Hurt Locker - Sniper Scene - General

Good movie. Painfully suspenseful at times.

Two years old now Still epic as though.

In a battle with Avatar at the moment isn't it. Personally, I would like The Hurt Locker to win, Avatar was ok I guess, but not that great, with Hurt Locker surpassing it a fair amount because I actually keep wanting to watch The Hurt Locker over and over.

I wish The Hurt Locker would have some kind of sequel, I really liked it.

Love this movie. Was watching this scene before class on my laptop, and some kid comes up to me and looks at it for a while. After a couple of minutes he starts laughing, "L O L, these guys suck at sniping. I could hit those much better I do it all the time in MW2"

Loved the movie.

Was a fucking epic movie, was hooked from start to finish.

Personally I didn't think this movie was too good, and I think this is one of the worst scenes in the movie. One thing I don't get about this scene which I find strange is they were firing at ranges of over 1200m judging by how long it was taking the bullets to travel, yet they were having no trouble hitting people first in the first shot with an AKM that has a maximum effective range of about a third of that before it becomes hard to hit anything atall.

Im wondering why the 50 didnt have a rectule on its scope

I'd personally love to see you even try firing a real life Barrett at that range and even hit the building. on topic: Awesome move is awesome, its far better than Avatar the only thing avatar has to hold against it is the SFX

When I worked at the film laboratory and we tested the first master roll of hurt locker, it didn't take long for all co-workers to gather around the cutting table and we watched the whole thing with sound on and in normal speed (wich is unusual, since normally you test film backwards, silent and in 20X speed). Everyone got caught by the suspense in this scene, even our boss when he came in to see why the fuck we had the sound turned on and noone was on his place
