Oh my God, I want a new Streets of Rage game so badly. This just makes me want one even more.

There was Streets of Rage Remake 5.0, a Fan collaboration project released last year, and shut down almost immediately after by SEGA.
It's all the Streets of Rage games combined into one interconnected mega-game, and I highly recommend it if you enjoyed the originals.

Oh wow, my brother and I used to play co-op on Streets of Rage all the time when we were young, this would have been amazing.

I've got this backed up on my ext. HDD, awesome game.

This 3D one looks good too, really wish they would make another, the 'call ins' like the police car shooting rockets in would look awesome

I've made sure I constantly have this regardless of how many times I format stuff.

It's one of the greatest fan-made things ever made. Highly polished and plenty of content not the mention the amount of options you can change. Pisses me off that they snagged the remake after shutting down such a good fan project.
