Everyone is making very good points and the conversation is very civil.
the modern day algonquin round table
It's a very balanced discussion, yes. They have been going for like three hours at this point, and it has been remarkably very civil so far.
this is a p good stream. even if you dislike sargon's main channel videos you should consider checking out his live streams, they're usually a lot of fun

I'm not up on my Youtube philosphers but don't these guys generally agree with each other anyway.

Boogie got redpilled on this stream as far as I can tell.

Today? What happened?

Basically just Sargon and Jontron going over all the shit. Regressive left self-contradictions, moral dilemmas, discussions of free speech, etc.
His exact words about it were something along the lines of "I have learned more in the last 3 minutes than in years of going on reddit".

redpill is the worst meme of the century
redpill is the worst meme of the century
Yeah, but it has been used recently a lot by, at least, Sargon's circle of belief, to refer to someone becoming anti-sjw. Also apparently the term for such a person is a "Shitlord" but meh, it's just ephemeral language.
redpill is the worst meme of the century
As far as my experience goes, whenever I hear somebody say "redpill" I know I'm about going to hear some really stupid /pol/-tier shit delivered with extreme moral superiority and smugness.

Redpilling being a very broad term, although he admitted a few minutes ago that you can learn a lot about bias in mainstream news and on Reddit (Apparently he normally checks up on news there) by just participating in this stream. For the rest, I'd say he is probably the most left-leaning person in this stream so far.
Jon seems to have a really fun time on this stream though. Easily the most outspoken person there for the last few hours.
Good, if boogie finally is on board with what is going on, then there is hope some of that rubs off my brother who loves him.
Also, Sky is providing counter points as well. It's not just an echo chamber, but it seems more like they are all working through the concepts for themselves.

Right so my confusion is why is it being a civil discussion noteworthy if everyone started on the same page or got on the same page after 3 minutes.
Obviously a room full of people who agree on something are going to be civil.

Has your evangelism not been successful?

Just think it is better some people get opinions from the other side is all.
By "on board" I mean finally realize that it is ok to listen to things like these where you get multiple POVs. Because I watch Boogie too and he is a nice guy, but this out of the water for him.

Well, I've been listening for the past few hours, and they had some discussions they did disagree with each other so far. Some politically touchy subjects too at that. Although I wonder how long they will have talked by the time they finally decide to end this stream, they have been going on for hours now. Can't even rewind to the start of the stream atm.

The fact that the mark of an enlightened anti-sjw is a reference to a movie made by two transwomen with colored hair is somewhat ironic I think
Boogie is the least confrontational big youtuber. He tries agreeing with everyone and tries avoiding conflict at all costs with others.
He's a good guy but I wouldn't take the red pill shit comments seriously.

The republicans are in office working to repeal laws designed to prevent another housing crisis and have appointed and FCC chair that wants to attack net neutrality and an education secretary that would probably prefer we didn't have a public school system and the primary stance of the administration on global warming is science denial...
But I'm so glad to see that there are those who have the incredible wisdom to see through the bullshit and realize that the left-wing is a no-go because idiot college students screeched at someone somewhere.

ive never seen someone back peddle so quickly
Sky just told everyone on stream that he figured out that he was gay when he was 7 years old and a bully choked another guy and it made him really horny, so he thought about bouncing the bully's dick, what the actual fuck.

I've been convinced ever since his awful smash commentary that Sky is just really fucking creepy with his sexuality and has absolutely zero tact
Welp, it just got shut down. Sargon disappeared and then the stream ended while they were discussing women's choices of career.

Stream's back.
Or not.
Every time I see someone named "Boogie" mentioned I get a little confused over whether they mean "routinely abused jolly fat man" Boogie or "staggering amounts of drawn midget porn" Boogie.

Was it just Boogie or did other people disagree on things as well? I recognize 4/6 people present and the only ones I expect to cause any amount of conflict is Boogie and maybe JonTron once or twice. If those 2 other guys aren't outsiders like Boogie and (sort of) Jon then this seems kind of stacked to me.

Sky was disagreeing with someone when it ended. He was providing plenty of counterpoints.

Why did it end though?
DDoS?

Sargon's Internet connection gave out, he blames SkyUK (presumably his ISP).
