Hey someone who gets that having a political stance means exactly shit unless you actually work at maintaining it and explaining to people why they might want to try it out, what a novel fucking concept.
As someone who despises Trump, I can't help but agree with him. I'm also completely bias because I love Jon Stewart.
What does he mean by "America is an anomaly in the world" and "America is not natural. Natural is tribal"?
Region locked out of Canada from every place I could find it, that's annoying as fuck. Anyone got a link that isn't locked?

Pretty sure he was getting at the fact that America is a multinational democracy and was founded as such. "Natural is tribal" means that humans have historically taken an us versus them mentality and tend to stick to our respective groups.

If you have Chrome, use the browser extension called "Hola"
I need to remember to grab his book while I'm out Christmas shopping.
Always good to hear from Jon. He has a gift for bringing logic and perspective to the outright crazy.

Youpak.com is the go-to youtube mirror right now for bypassing region locking I guess.

Don't use Hola, it's been known for a while now that it has major vulnerabilities and does sketchy stuff with your data.
anyone got a mirror? can't watch it here in the land of upside down and kangaroos
I wish he was still on tv, rare to get a high quality mix of funny and intelligent like him

The human brain is a sorting and discrimination engine, that's literally what it does 24/7, all the time, forever. Put things in categories and evaluates their worth. That's how we've survived not being eaten to death as a species.
American participation is the exact opposite of that, all the criteria for sorting is thrown out the window and considered null and against the spirit of cooperation and fellowship. Everyone is equal under law and litigation, there is no sorting and there is no order of best to worst, there is only the person beside you and their inherent and inalienable worth, which is always equal to yours and all others at all times, even in war and under duress, even in contention and disagreement.
The American principle is against our very biology and so must be actively maintained, lest it fail, as this very election has shown in spades.
The USA is a society that requires and celebrates the suspension of base instincts. That's ironic as hell.
