But anyways, Rush is awesome, but didn't Rock Band feature a big chunk of their hits about 2-3 years ago?

Why couldn't Rock Band 3 get it?
Finally, a Guitar Hero game I actually want to play.
It looks like they're completely ignoring the important parts of music games and now focusing on the story and flashy flashy visuals, if there's nothing new gameplay wise i'm not interested.
I'd still take Audiosurf over Guitar Hero, though I am a huge Rush fan.

Yeah Rock Band 3 hasa new keyboard instrument and that pro mode thing where it's like playing that actual thing. I think the pro mode idea is pretty ridiculous, but at least they're trying to move forward and be innovative. It seems that Guitar Hero is going the way of other milked out franchises with more of the same, but slightly different games.
Goddammit I didn't want to buy another Guitar Hero but now I have to.
