Hi guys, just a lot of footage from the battle of stalingrad, some of those archives are rare. English description under the video. Music is "Stalingrad - Main Theme"

From July 17th 1942 to February 2nd 1943, over 1 011 000 German soldiers fought against 1 103 000 Russian soldiers in the city of Stalingrad.
Stalingrad, today Volgograd, was important because it was the highlight of the Soviet economy. Also, Hitler thought that capturing the Staline's city will demoralize the Soviet troops.
The Soviets defended valiantly the city but the Germans took the initiative...
November 19th 1942, the Russians launched "Operation Uranus" wich was to retake the city.
The right flank of the German dispositive(divice) was attacked from the bridgeheads that the Soviets had kept at the west of the Don.
A long siege was about to begin...

Absolutely incredible. The battle of Stalingrad is a representation of the true meaning of "total war", and hopefully we'll never have to see anything of that scale within our lifetime.
If we do, well, God help us all.
