Yeah I reposted it from Reddit, but that's because it has a really strong message.
I agree with a lot of what he's saying, especially just the stuff at the beginning how he explains that American's really don't have much control over our government.
In the 18th century, we needed representatives because it was physically impossible to hold nation-wide votes on every issue. Now that we can do this, why the hell aren't we?!
Edit: I don't necessarily mean we should vote on every single issue, just that it would be better to be more open with the bills we pass instead of leaving it up to just congress.
The problem is that we are using representative democracy. No wait, the problem is that there are stupid people with opinions.
Wow.
This ought to be good, Joe Rogan always has good rants:

Because most Americans don't hold a degree in Political Science/Economics with years of experience on how a country actually runs.
You'd be creating mob rule if you let everyone vote for a bill/law, the majority would easily crush the rights of the minority if this was implemented. Fuck, it would make corporations or lobbyists even more powerful, since all they have to do is convince the (often uninformed) populace about the evils/virtues of a certain bill/law/policy and why they should vote against it or for it. This is to say nothing of the inherent issues with letting someone who barely knows what a bailout is vote on it, it would be like taking a schoolteacher and making them a lawyer and somehow expect to understand everything the Court is doing.
Showed my really pro-American friend this video. He just went "no, that's not true, no" the entire time.
Makes me sick. People are so dense and ignorant nowadays.

It's nothing but a bunch of LIE-beral propaganda, man!
Joe Rogan is a more pleasant version of George Carlin, imo.
Would have been better if he didn't swear every two seconds.
In the end, does it make his argument any more or less credible? No.
No, but it kills his credibility. It makes him seem like an angry teenager just trying to get attention.

Does it make his argument any less original? How many times have we heard some guy telling us (or writing) about the military-industrial complex and how America fights wars for profit? Personally I'd give him more credit if it was someone with actual credentials telling us this.
There is a lot of bullshit in there to.

I showed one of my pro-american friends wikileaks and after a bit he was like "Get.. off.". When I asked him why he said that the people who own the website should be killed and that the information they feed us is disrespectful to "our leaders" and that even if any of it is true "its a secret for a reason".
This is why I'm a fascist. Some people don't deserve a vote.

Indeed. There are a lot of them. Democracy tends not to produce a good result when the majority of the demos are fucking retarded cunts who vote for people based on stupid shit like their "obama obama" teenager-like infatuation that they take on blindly without considering whether their candidate is actually doing anything he/she said they would.
Who decided who gets to vote the? If not everyone is allowed to vote, do you not see a chance for corruption there?

Regardless of what they say, electing a representative isn't true democracy. Democracy is meant to allow everyone to have equality in decisions that effect their lives. Parliament and elected officials making the decisions for us is just playing "Who's the most popular dictator?" Take the UK for instance, we have been a democracy for a long time, and in that time the public have only been permitted to make 2 decisions via referendum.
Maybe strong views, but at least Monarchy was more honest than this, and they believed they were chosen by God to rule.

Yeah but democracy almost always end badly with few exceptions.

That's a good point.
Wouldn't it be pretty hard to implement a fair system that allowed everyone an equal input into decisions like referendums try to do?
I can't disagree.
We do all of this, war, killing, all of it, Just to have a good, wealthy, happy life.
Its sad, really.
I really hate the fact that this guy is screaming all angry but gets to no point. If you want change, you have to be part of the solution, not pile up all the problems our society currently has and feel better about yourself becuase you're calling everyone else dumb and sheep.
I also hate when people try to make their point by cursing. Ok yes we get you, you're angry, but you're only making yourself look dumb. You could say the same things and even be more inspirational without the cursing.
Go back to bed, America
This is the shit that makes other countries see us as idiots. Stupid fucking people who act like war is new and the idiots that elect the even bigger idiots into office. Almost every country has gone to war due to money, territory, or prestige. War isn't new, idiots are everywhere.

As far as I'm concerned, it just shows he lacks the vocabulary to properly explain how he feels and concisely describe the gravity of what he's talking about.
If anything, it makes him look a little dumb.

I'd say it makes you look dumb to think that using a small set words more than necessary makes him dumb. No, it makes no difference. At all, really.

There's a reason people like this guy aren't taken very seriously, it's because they have the vocabulary of an angry 15 year old conspiracy theorist that thinks he's always right. It's extremely immature to swear every two seconds and call the people you don't like "cocksuckers."
What's ironic is that he once said he will stop saying "faggot," which is pretty close to "cocksucker."

It is, don't get me wrong - but it isn't hard to look past that and see his message. His vocabulary is easily shrugged off.

Dumb may have been too harsh a word. In any case, I only meant a little bit.
What I meant was, his overuse of curse words could be attributed to the fact that his knowledge of the English language is below exceptional.

I wouldn't doubt it is. He's by no means some master speech writer - he's just a comic who occasionally brings up good points is all.
