I live in the USA and racism is incredibly prevalent here. We have a lot of immigrants from the south; particularly those guys who wear the confederate flag proudly and think the south will rise again sort of bullshit.
However, I've never seen someone physically or verbally abused in public because of their skin color or ethnicity.
Why didn't anyone intervene? Those 3 would get the beating of their lives if they ever dreamed of insulting someone here like that.

I live in England and see racism all the time. But then again I live in a lower class area.
There isn't TOO much racism in America in open public, certainly not like this since the 70's. But on private property and among friends, definitely. But if it's between you and a few friends at your house, who the fuck cares

The worst I've seen in public was when some Sikh dude drove by in his car and a bunch of kids were calling him Osama Bin Laden.
Other than that people refrain from saying nigger or spic or any other racial slurs in public. Unless it's Skokomish Natives talking about Squaxin Natives(or vice versa); it seems that these guys absolutely [i]hate[/i] each other for the stupidest reasons.

Apparently Canada and the US are a lot tamer in terms of racism when compared to European countries. I haven't been to Europe yet so I can't verify it though, but one of my professors was surprised when he visited Germany for a conference on multiculturalism.
I mean I guess I shouldn't be considering how seemingly most European facepunchers have an avid hatred of gypsies and how easily they'll jump on the Arab hate bandwagon.
