Did you play the beta? I wasn't interestd in it at all but the open beta totally sold me.
Nah, I didn't. To be honest, the entire premise of the game appealed to me so little that I didn't even look up much information about the game. Now that I know a little bit more about it, I'm absolutely going to pick it up. Same happened with Siege, tbh.
George has somewhat become an arbiter of what I play and I'm both ashamed and okay with this.

I'm waiting on sale, but I'm afraid if I wait too long everyone else that plays will be pro and I'll just get owned forever :saddowns:

I wouldn't worry about it too much. They're going to add a ranked playlist later to rope in the tryhards and revise matchmaking so you won't get in situations where you're fighting a stacked team.

That's great news, and the support R6 Siege has gotten makes it all the more believable.
I played the closed Alpha of this and kinda hated it. This was probably because I was playing the team game modes. This seems like a solid fighting-type game that should really be capped at 2v2. The 4v4 mode should just leave and never come back.
Shame I don't really like fighting games then, but I always enjoy watching them more than playing.

I found the 4v4 mode to be the most enjoyable. Duels are too hardcore for me and Dominion just feels like an afterthought and doesn't mesh well with the gameplay.

I feel like there need to be more modes without the stupid boosts/feats. it ruins 2v2 because people just run around at the start picking up boosts constantly.
To add to his statement about item stats, I guess he didn't get that far but eventually you get gear that changes stats considerably.

Only modes that don't have gear by default are duel and brawl.

and thats really what the game is balanced for, for the most part
The game's really good. Buy it if you're interested in melee combat stuff because it's by far the most polished experience you'll play.
Yeah I agree with pretty much the whole video. The game is really fun. I think if you wait to long on buying it you'll end up liking it less as players get better.
