I would say that PC gamers should just not buy their games but then Ubisoft would say "ugh stupid pc gamers keep pirating our games" and nothing would change.
I would say that PC gamers should just not buy their games but then Ubisoft would say "ugh stupid pc gamers keep pirating our games" and nothing would change.
The thing is this isnt even just with the PC version the console versions are just as buggy too
The art team does some insane work. Animations look amazing and fluid and the landscape, building and character design is amazing but on a gameplay level and a performance level it goes above and beyond the call of shit. What a joke. I wouldn't even play it if I had the disc in my hands, console or pc. The fucking game has better use as a fancy frisbee. All art and no game.
The art team should leave Ubisoft for better pastures, because micro-transactions and that level of fucking un-polished shit?

Regardless of the optimization problems, I still think the amount of NPCs on screen at the same time is pretty impressive
The art team should leave Ubisoft for better pastures, because micro-transactions and that level of fucking un-polished shit?
Imagine if they join Witchers devs or bethesda or Arkane studios, or splash damage/wbgames, or literally any dev that isn't complete shit [editline]12th November 2014[/editline]
Regardless of the optimization problems, I still think the amount of NPCs on screen at the same time is pretty impressive
yeah except for you know the fact that the game can't even run it because of bad optimization though too many NPC's
Patrice Desilets must be drowning his sorrows right now
The art team should leave Ubisoft for better pastures, because micro-transactions and that level of fucking un-polished shit?
Honestly, the artwork in the game is fucking gorgeous. Even surprised me. But godDAMN it plays awful. How did this even happen? I'd expect them to playtest the game enough to know if stuff like this would happen. Hell, its happening on consoles, how could you get that wrong? Theres just 2 consoles to try it on, unlike the dozen combinations of PC parts they could test it on to see how it would fare. I really feel sad for the art team. Here they are pouring their life's work onto the game, coming up with some pretty wicked material (that kiss was downright beautiful indeed), and then their work gets shat on by an awful optimization job. If I were them, I'd be pretty depressed, while watching Ubisoft's shares going down because of something you helped create and actually gave a lot for. Theres talent there, but its hidden behind a cloud of CRAP.
I'm not sure if TB really understands why this game is poorly optimized. He seems to think that his hardware isn't enough, when in reality, it's Ubisoft's shitty coding that doesn't use the hardware in the right way that is the source of the problem, and has been this way since at least AC3. Every Ubisoft game since then uses 100% of one CPU core and then 15-30% of all of the others, when it should be high, equal numbers for each available core on your processor. Lots of people also noticed that recent Ubisoft games don't even touch 100% GPU usage in certain situations, when it should be at 100% until you close the game. It's like they built their engine to run on hardware that doesn't exist in this dimensional plane or something. When he mentions the usage of SLI (and the fact that he actually bought a Haswell-E CPU, holy shit what a waste of cash aaa), I just started shaking my head. Of course it's going to have problems in some games, because not every game out on the market is optimized to handle more than one GPU working to produce the images on your screen (and Unity was just released too, I seriously doubt there is going to be day-one SLI compatibility). Ubisoft games are notorious for scaling poorly with SLI as well, such as Watch_Dogs actually losing performance exponentially when using three or four graphics cards at once. The rest of the video is decent, but I get the feeling he doesn't really understand why the game runs so poorly.
This is reminding me a whole lot of the AC3 release, shockingly bad performance (On PC particularly, but across all platforms), buggy as all fuck and game the game itself is deeply underwhelming. You'd figure after the tons of "Assassin's Creed is boring now" complaints after AC3 they'd actually try to do something to innovate with the series - which they did do admittedly, with Black Flag, but then they just come back to the same old boring tripe.
I would say that PC gamers should just not buy their games but then Ubisoft would say "ugh stupid pc gamers keep pirating our games" and nothing would change.
pc gamers just should not play ubisoft games period

It was "in order to avoid “debates and stuff”."
Woah they didn't say that. It was "in order to avoid “debates and stuff”."
I know you're using that as a joke punchline, but still it was part of the same statement. Of course, the debates and stuff was pretty much the usual PR bungling Ubisoft has with their triple-A titles. :v:
Fuck Ubisoft. One day they decided my account with five games on it doesn't even fucking exist. Good thing I got all those games on sale.
Why do people keep buying Assassin's Creed? IV might've been okay but it's largely been shit since Brotherhood, and Ubisoft makes such terrible decisions and dicks around it's fans (Hey Watch_Dogs PC players?) I don't understand why you'd support them
why people continue to buy AC and CoD truly amazes me
its time for ubisoft to die off
Hey, Youtube supports 60fps in 720 and 1080, why isn't this vi... Ohhhhhhhh that's right
its time for ubisoft to die off
I don't want Ubisoft to die off just yet, cause I like a lot of their IPs. What they really need to do is slow the fuck down. Assassin's Creed is not a series that works yearly, and neither is Far Cry, but lo and behold they're trying to force them both.

Haven't bought Unity though And I think IV was hands down the best one. [editline]12th November 2014[/editline] basically people have opinions
Said it in the other thread I saw it coming a mile away with the 30fps crap they were spewing earlier. They can't even make a good stable game on a console anymore. Its not like that talent pool is that bad anyway so I wonder what the issue is.
why people continue to buy AC and CoD truly amazes me
At least AW runs well
It hits 21 frames per second at times on the new consoles. They made it specifically for them and it tanks that hard. Woooooow Ubisoft doesn't care anymore
its time for ubisoft to die off
Not until I get another good 3D Rayman game.
I will hold out hope Far Cry 4 will be good simply because Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon were super duper fun.
Rip my dreams of playing this with Les Miserables blasting in the background (and signing along...)
