[hd]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJa_4sj5To0[/hd] Most of the video is loading the apps, where the [sp]S6[/sp]'s NAND wins, but is devastated by the [sp]N4[/sp] in multitasking. That part starts just before 4:00 if you want to skip four minutes of app loading.
Not to mention the huge price difference. I don't see why people buy Samsung with all their bloated crap
Not to mention the huge price difference. still love my nexus 4... the charger port is dodgy, I have no storage space and my god the battery life is bad but god damn is it an amazing phone

The cameras are just a little worse, the speed is probably the same, the UI isn't shit, it doesn't has any bloat or barely has, they look great and the battery lasts longer than "almost a day". And on top of that, if I want a big phone, I get the Z3/Z5, if I want a smaller phone, I can get the compact version instead. OR... If I want to go crazy and get the best screen ever, Z5 premium.
I'm currently on the LG G3 and I absolutely love it because the only "bloatware" it comes with is actually useful stuff like a step counter and a program that lets you sync to your PC(I don't use it though) and the other stuff is just an antivirus and the t-mobile data counter. I heard the G4 was a fuck up though. I'm worried that future phones will start phasing out microSD slots like the S6 did and google does with the nexus lineup. No microSD is a deal breaker for me
still love my nexus 4... the charger port is dodgy, I have no storage space and my god the battery life is bad but god damn is it an amazing phone
I could've cried when the screen on my Nexus 4 completely obliterated after a very small distance fall during this summer, I had the thing for two years, flashed it so many different times, replaced the charging strip about 4 times, nursed it back to life when it had battery problems and I ended up completely shorting the thing by trying to install a new, cheap and dodgy Screen + Digitizer when the screen broke. It shouldn't have ended that way, it needed a better farewell. Ended up buying a ZenFone 2, it has better spec[sp]and a far better focus on the camera holy shit[/sp]but it just doesn't feel right :(
sooo... what android phone is actually good?
sooo... what android phone is actually good?
6p
A lot of the games and apps on the Nexus straight up skip the intro parts, I'm guessing he had those apps open already on the N4, but not on the S6, which would explain why they boot so fast but are much slower while loading in app.
sooo... what android phone is actually good?
Anything but a Samsung. Never buy Samsung. [editline]19th November 2015[/editline]
Because they make great phones for people who either don't care about peak performance in every aspect or aren't incapable of installing a rom, but still want a great phone.
Yeah but with the S6 you can't even escape to the world of custom ROMs as easily as other devices because of their Exynos chipset which apparently makes development a nightmare.
sooo... what android phone is actually good?
Sony Xperia line is so fucking solid.
sooo... what android phone is actually good?
Nexus line, Xperia line, Motorola... All great to me. If the 6p was smaller but still kept all the good stuff it has, just in a smaller package, I'd be totally all over it.
I recently got an S6 on contract. It was regularly having lag spikes and freezeups - too regular for my tastes. Called the phone company and demanded a replacement. Long story short, it took them 3 months to finally replace to phone, so they let me upgrade to an S6 Edge+ for cheap. Disappointed because the freezeups happen on this phone too. It's frustrating. I had an S4 for 3 years and was over the moon with it, it was a solid phone. But I fucking hate when the screen will freeze on unlock and I gotta wait 2 mins until it works again.
But I fucking hate when the screen will freeze on unlock and I gotta wait 2 mins until it works again.
This happens to me on my S5 periodically and I'm really sick of it. And then my home screen background sometimes changes to default and every app just shits itself. At once. WHY
This happens to me on my S5 periodically and I'm really sick of it. And then my home screen background sometimes changes to default and every app just shits itself. At once. WHY
The original S6 I had that I returned would sometimes crash whilst watching videos on Chrome, and then turn the frozen video frame into my background. Severely disappointed with the latest Samsung phone tbh, S4 was amazing but S6 is a slow piece of shit. When I go to put my password in to unlock the phone, it happens too often that it'll just freeze and I gotta lock the phone again and wait until I can try again.

So you have to live with it for at least another year or so!
Thought the S6 was much better than that. Even the M2 that I had or the M4 I have now (which are like less than half the price range of the S6 and in no way comparable in terms of hardware) have given me less headaches. And thats comparing 2 mid range phones to a top end phone.

Had the option to cancel my contract outright after the whole replacement phone shambles (waiting 3 months) but I got suckered in to going with the Edge+ and I regret it immensely. Don't get me wrong, the phone is great... when it wants to be. But the irritating lag spikes and freezing just ruin the whole experience.
Yesterday I actually considered going back to my Nexus 4, from my Oneplus One, just because my Oneplus One randomly reboots. The only thing that sucks about my Nexus 4, is that it's 16 gigs.

Samsung pushed android lollipop to the Galaxy S4 (and other phones) which totally destroyed the performance and introduced various bugs, just so the phone's UI would look good and they can sell more phones. Their phones used to literally be the best (S, S2 and S3) now they're just trying to be like apple. Good thing my contract ends by the end of the year. I'll either get a nexus phone or xperia Z5.
Sony Xperia line is so fucking solid.
Agreed, if you're looking for an alternative to the Nexus line, Sony's phones are awesome, and they actually give a damn about enthusiasts! Unlike [del]Moto[/del]Lenovorola where they're starting to shit the bed after Google sold them.
I heard the G4 was a fuck up though.
I've got a G4 and have no problems with it. Battery life isn't the greatest thing in existence but it wasn't on the G3 either. Overall it's a really good phone.
the s6 and the edge are shitty phones honestly, but I'll be damned if I don't fucking love my note 5 more phones need the pen option
because my Oneplus One randomly reboots
All of my Android devices have actually suffered from this problem (LG, Samsung, Sony) sketchy firmware/BIOS I assume
I've got a Note 4, and flashing a ROM like Cyanogenmod 13 aka Android 6 it's wonderfully snappy with a good battery life. I'd agree it struggles even with the high-end specs on Samsung's own ROMs.
All of my Android devices have actually suffered from this problem (LG, Samsung, Sony) sketchy firmware/BIOS I assume
Both my m2 and 4 have rebooted, but its not something that happens loads of times. Maybe once in quite a few months. In about a year and 2 months, my M2 didn't get to 10 reboots, if even 5
