observing how things were done this year, it's not like the other years, it's more serious and has constituency
there's still skits and jokes, crude scripts and what not but it's a got a really good urban vibe and I think it won't be as worse as it used to be but see it for yourself soon

It won something along the lines of best sequel, biggest emotional impact and best writing.
I'd shitposted in the MGQ thread prior to that and it being nominated and winning some half tongue-in-cheek awards (half serious) made me actually play it. Once I got past the initial disgust/boners of the game, I was legitimately surprised by some really good writing and really nice character archetypes and takes on different types of character/tropes.
Ever since then I've actually defended the game, but always have to open with "IF YOU IGNORE ALL OF THE PORN..."

It also has some really good music. The climax to the trilogy was also one of the most fun/best resolved endings I've seen in a number of years. It was pretty kickass.

It's going to be interesting since you have #gamergate to consider, if i'm correct the /v/ga's is a 4chan creation but a large portion have left for 8chan.

As bizarre as it all fucking sounds I have to agree.
Music is great and it has some nice writing and a nice slice of humour.
There is no getting away from the fact that you fight monster girls that try to rape you, though.
