Is it just me, or are bentley's just ugly as fuck cars?
Like dont get me wrong if I was offered a bentley i'd definitely take it, but holy shit some of them look fucking atrocious for being $200,000+
Those cup holders.

They look kinda gaudy compared to Rolls-Royce imo.
Some people sure like them though, when I was in the UAE most luxury cars I've seen were Bentleys.
For a luxury vehicle, that seems like a lot of minor convenience features missing.
That car looks like it's designed to run people over.

It's actually amazing how many issues that shouldn't be these expensive ass cars have.
Why do you need two indicator lights? Incase you forget which way you were turning?
Why do you need two indicator lights? Incase you forget which way you were turning?
Why does it need two mirror controls?

Like a Rolls, the Arnage isn't really a car made to be driven; it's more of a car to be driven around in. Hence the hidden front cupholders, the lack of a modern semi-automatic shifting mode, the remote control for the sound system, the easily-accessible (rear) cupholders and the fold-down trays in the rear.

It doesn't?
It doesn't?
just one probably works better than two knobs

then maybe this fool should've bought a better car
This guy doesn't know shit about cars.
Apparently this dude paid $50k for it with the excuse that he wanted to prove to a Jalopnik writer that owning and maintaining it would be affordable.
I was surprised to find the guy wasn't flaring around how much of a rich car it is and how rich he is
I expected the typical douchebag rich youtuber saying "Yeah, it's an expensive car that few people could afford, but I got one." and every other sentence including "its a super expensive car"
Yes, he does mention it being expensive, but it was justified in his cases imo
then maybe this fool should've bought a better car
It's a damn fine car and I'd love to own one, but only if I could afford to have someone else drive me around in it.

It's beautiful
His previous car was an Acura Legend, that's another car for people to be driven around in. I think this guy just likes to pretend he's a chauffeur

HAHA

The only cars you ought to be chauffeured around in are the Bentley Arnage, Rolls-Royces, Mercedes-Maybachs, and maybe a BMW 7 series

Maybe a Maserati too

The dude admitted himself that he's not very wealthy and that maintenance is very expensive. He can probably just barely afford it and honestly you can get equally good cars (though probably not performance wise) for far less than 50k.

((also that mpg makes me want to scream))
What year is that model? It looks absolutely horribly designed from a usability standpoint.

2004
I hate to be a party pooper but I just feel like this dude is just going through a mid-life crisis or something because his blog posts have a weird focus on the feeeeels and is adamant on proving everyone wrong so he doesn't have to admit that he made a very rocky decision.
Like fuck just read this:
Against the advice of every Internet automotive "expert," I did the unthinkable: I bought a used Bentley Arnage.
No, I am not rich. I'm an average guy. I have a wife, 2.5 kids and a normal job title without any fancy letters at the end, like CEO or Ph.D. But I truly believe that buying this car makes me the smartest man in the world.
All the man-hours, the fine materials, the hand-stitched leather, the woodwork... all that beauty is still there. What had once commanded almost a quarter of a million dollars is now a fraction of that price -- solely because a few years have passed, and the odometer has added a few digits. And now it's my turn to be the curator of this fine automobile.
I feel like I'm living a dream. Other times, I feel like I'm tricking the world into thinking I'm an eccentric millionaire, out shopping for groceries at 10 p.m. in the only car in my fleet with keys I could locate. Either way, I'm having fun. Two months into this experiment, and the car has been flawless.
Like sure maybe it's his dream, but it just miffs me when you gotta go out of your way to tell people that they "should all buy used Bentley's because I have one and I like it". He might not be one of those kids that flaunts their Aston-Martins or tell you how many houses their Ferrari is worth but he's still one of those guys that goes around to tell everyone how great of a deal he got on X thing when really it's not that great of a deal at all.

Nah, enormous black SUV's are the only way anyone respectable gets around.
Discrete yet luxurious, destroys the most amount of resources (for a manifique experience, of course), and you will crush a peon should they attempt to get in a crash with you.

What about the Toyota Century (If you can actually find one outside Japan)?

It would look like you're stuck in the past rather than anything luxurious.

What kind of idiot buys a 12 year old car for 50k
What kind of idiot buys a 12 year old car for 50k
This one, apparently. My SUV with more convenience features (like a space for my phone and like 4 cupholders in the front seats alone), more space for people/storage, in my opinion a nicer looking interior, and double the mpg, was half the price and a decade newer.
This dude either didn't buy it with efficiency in mind or he's a moron.

That's like comparing a new stainless steel knife to an old decorative one with tons of expensive gems. Not exactly a fair comparison.

You can get a pretty fresh E class mercedes for 50K
That's like comparing a new stainless steel knife to an old decorative one with tons of expensive gems. Not exactly a fair comparison.
It's a fair comparison considering this dude's usage of the car. He spent 50k on this to use as his only day to day car, not as an ornament, so that's how his decision should be judged.
[editline]7th January 2017[/editline]
Like if you need a kitchen knife and buy an antique ceremonial dagger instead it would be a dumb decision.
