As much as the editing matches the tone completely, I can't help but feel that the music is the most striking thing about the interstellar trailer. I found myself remembering how good the trailer was while watching this merely due to the music.
Spaceballs was my childhood. Watched it more than once with PVR.
Out of curiosity, and forgive me if it's ignorant to ask this, but did Hans Zimmer happen to make the music used in the trailer? I got some pretty serious Inception-soundtrack vibes from it, is why I ask. And no, I haven't watched any trailers for Interstellar. I pointedly stay away from trailers for films I have an interest in, because they have a tendency to spoil too much of the film these days.
It just makes the movie seem ridiculous by accident.

Bergersen off his 'Sun' album. He's really good though, should check him out.

Apparently he's a member of Two Steps from Hell, which explains the awesomeness.
