Naw, it just looks like he's slower because there's no quick cuts like on Bill Nye the Science-Guy.

The laser bees thing sounds really similar to a presentation from the EVE Fanfest. They were pretty much saying they wanted to mine asteroids/comets using lasers that work by focusing light from the sun.

It really takes skill to put complex science into layman's terms. That's why I've always loved Bill Nye.

Frankly the video director did not do a very good job at all of hiding his age. he looks overly old in this.
And I wonder if he had to do multiple takes since he seems tired simply due to doing it over and over to me.

Sounded like it was intentionally satirical to me, I didn't even consider that he was on anything. I forgot how hilarious this guy can be, it was actually pretty refreshing to see him do something new like this. Pretty awesome, thanks for sharing op.

Why should an actor have to hide his age? And why does a hard working man have to be drunk?

I didn't say the actor had to hide his age. I'm saying the director of the video makes him look older than he really is. The person shooting, lighting, and editing can have a huge influence on the look of someone and how old they look. This isn't about hiding age or anything. It looked like he was pulled off the street randomly or he was rushed to make this.
And when did I say he has to be drunk, I said he sounded like it. He sounds overworked to me.
He might be getting older but he sure is getting smarter. What's awesome is that he's still around, and even though I never saw his science videos while I was in school I still learnt a lot from him.
I loved the bit where he did the explosion, then said "But in space it would be like this". His facial expression was priceless.
He sounds fine to me. Really chill guy, I would like to have a talk about science with him.

As to the explosions in space.
At least we have a use for our huge storage of nukes, asteroid is coming...fire ze missiles.
