this is the type of person that needs to criticize games on big websites. my, he's almost like Ebert.

Also I agree with everthing this man says. Doom 1 and 2 are probably my favorite games of all time next to half-life 2.
Well, he's right.
People put thought into their games back then.. Heart and what they loved.
Not just something that appealed to the mass.
Hell, they made it, and they appealed to the mass. Doom, that is.
What an excellent review.
I still love Doom long after I first started playing it. Its still Barrels o' Fun (heh).
But what really gets me always coming back is how easy it is to make a mod for.
Fuck.
Made me think of when my dad finally let me use his computer and turned this on when I was like 5.
It terrified me, but I kept trying to play more and get over the fear of E1M3.
aaah goosebumps, also that little tid bit of E1M1 song at the start was sexy.
That and heretic I played alot.
During my Cisco classes back in High School my teacher and I had a unspoken understanding.
I'm going to play Doom in the back of the room and still get my work done, it's the other assholes you need to watch.
I played Doom for an hour every day it seems.
