Jesus Christ this wasn't CGI, those were real horses that ran right and besides him at full speed
and, this is why i love shit like GOT
Miguel Sapochnik needs to get picked up for a big-name blockbuster, the fact that the plot went exactly as expected and i was STILL on the edge of my seat for the whole hour speaks volumes

I always find these reaction videos to be overly dramatic on youtube but if you were to put on a camera on my face the moment i watched this episode you would definitely say i would be faking my excitement because i was climbing my chair, cheering, screaming and hiding behind my seat after he nearly died in a pile of bodies
surely not the best (this season's writing is donkey shit) but definitely the grandest. that single take of jon snow was breath taking.
If GoT keeps up the quality of story and visuals it may be the best show I'll ever watch in my life time.
I should really start watching this shouldn't I.
i didn't think anything could top last years hardhome. man i was wrong
That scene was definitely ambitious. I didn't believe that Jon would die in it for a single moment (It would have REALLY surprised me if he died there), but it was still very enjoyable, very visceral, it's like the medieval equivalent to Saving Private Ryan's beach landing scene.
3/10 no tits in this episode
spoilers for how the fight plays out

The bit where Jon Snow was being trampled made me feel nauseous whilst watching it, especially when juxtaposed with Ramsay just sitting safely in a wide open field far from the battle. Imagine being in a situation where you're trapped, slowly suffocating and totally powerless against a huge force, fuelled by sheer panic and mass hysteria. Horrifying, not to mention the claustrophobia it induces.

Game of Thrones very rarely has stuff like this. There have been like 3 large scale battle scenes that were good.
Blackwater was garbage. Yeah, I said it.
