Well, he liked it. And with good reason, as it IS Silent Hill, but ISN'T shit. Except that it's not scary. I bought it, and it is very good: just don't expect to piddle yourself from fright. It's more of a lurking oddity that seeps into the story and the world, until the very end, where everything you did in the game so far suddenly... Makes sense.
I think that was his funniest review
I thought this was a great game. Played through it twice, since it's so short, but I still had a lot of fun with it. Lots of replayability.
Great game. I do feel that even without the monsters in the normal world, it still had its fair share of creepiness. The first chase sequence was so incredibly intense, and listening to the audio logs gave the eerie feeling that the town was alive as in the previous (better) games. Just the static and the explosion of sound when you interacted with the memory was chilling. Then there was just the creepy randomness factor. Finding a dead and disemboweled bear in a cabin scared the shit out of me alone. I was watching it with one eye, waiting for it to move The actual puzzles (not the open box, receive key puzzles) were really good. The astronomy puzzle was pretty neat. I loved that the plot was entirely different from the original Silent Hill, but still gave the discomfort of previous installments. The psychological bits were a bit of a disappointment. The obvious stuff like painting the house did give the feel like they were really affecting the game, but in the end, they barely did. I was expecting less cosmetic changes, but oh well. Great game all the same.
I actually had to take totally different paths through certain areas in my second playthrough. Whole routes changed. Also, in the first one I did, the mutilated bear that Anonymuzz posted about wasn't there at all. It was in my second playthrough. I also got a totally differently behaved and dressed cop character, and Daliah was much more of a bitch, and the lady in the pink dress didn't love her husband any more.

Everything was more sexual
