I was massively disappointed after having put money towards Takedown in its Kickstarter phase, given how the end result turned out. Ground Branch at least offers some hope of a credible tactical shooter in the vein of the old Red Storm games.
Kind of reminds me of Americas Army 1/2. (not 3). Hopefully they can pull this off, I would LOVE a tactical shooter thats a smaller scale than arma.
lmao the acog doesn't even properly line up with where you're actually aiming.
The community around this game is pretty small so news about it isn't so wide spread. I check the website weekly for updates.
We need to get the community for this game up. It could be so great...
Once the devs are able to show more and work on it, then I think there'll be a community build up for it. There's obviously a demand for a realistic CQC first person shooter, but sadly we haven't really had one since Rainbow Six 3, or SWAT4, though it's obviously a different route. Only thing we really have nowadays is the Arma series, but its a grander scope. Something more focused would be an nice departure. Honestly, if this can turn out to be a modern Ghost Recon then I'll be excited for that.
I forgot I gave these guys money way back when. I honestly thought the project died. I'm glad to see they're still moving forward.

I'm really impressed with the tech preview though, these guys need support. The entire team for this game consists of only two people. But you're right, there's a demand for that style of game play but obviously not enough demand. Honestly, no macro video game producing company is going to release a true tactical shooter anymore these days.
