Not sure that the person who originally posted the heatmap really saw how amazing it was.
this looks fantastic, but it's a shame you can't make out anything within the image. not that the pictures in r/place would fit with the tone of this opening, lol. but if it were a real intro, i'd expect the visuals to constantly shift back and forth between the abstract, and imagery relevant to the show

It shows a lot of the major events if you know what to look for.
Opens with the creation of Germany, @4s cuts to the short-lived early struggle of Erase the Place, @10s comes the France/Germany conflict, @13s cut to the resolution as the disputed territory gets struck by a rainbow and the EU is formed over it, at the 20 second mark is the Pink Floyd strike at the Void and the creation of the US flag, cut to the great osu/Void war @25s, final shot shows the Void takeover of the US before blurring out.
gives me loose vibes of the intro from 'halt and catch fire' i like this
