I was hoping for nukes :(
Nothing is more badass than travelling around the solar system by setting off nukes on your spacebutt
I wonder if politicians are going to bash NASA like they did during Curiosity.
its going to mars guys, i mean its really going to mars, or an asteroid, or the sun, or seti alpha 5, its not just going to sit in a big warehouse for 10 years while we scrounge up funds to launch a second one to orbit.
its still a kick ass vehicle but i get tired of everybody saying that is going to mars and asteroids, its a fucking capsule, not a space-ship capable of even reaching mars and returning home without killing its crew. its a crew vehicle for future exploration uses, but it would be perfect for a return mission to the moon

its as if nasa is just deluding itself, i'm sure there's people behind the scenes working out how to get to mars but its really delusional to put in every press release "will someday take men to mars and an asteroid" when it really will just be along to haul crew from a transport vehicle to the surface of the earth or maneuver around things
i just wish nasa would finally stop hyping the rocket and start talking seriously about their 5-year goals, now that the orion is pretty much done, and the SLS comming right behind it, its time to seriously start talking about what the next step is, and how to do it with their very small political support
