The guy who created The Boondocks actually worked on this show instead of Boondocks Season 4. It isn't clear if he left The Boondocks on his own accord but it sounds like it really had an impact on the quality of the show.

It actually sucks Season 4 wasn't as good as the others. I felt disappointed when there were only 10 episodes and those ended up being mediocre.

Season 4 lacked all of the biting social commentary that the others had and it was just all parodies or some referential humor. It's comparable to the Simpsons of the 90s versus how it is now, one was smart, the other is a cash-in on a name.
