"The Black Rock Missile Facility" :v: [editline]November 23rd, 2016[/editline] To be fair though, Black Mesa was once set to be a missile base, and was canonically built over decommissioned ICBM facilities... Oh, and this infamous section. [t]http://i.imgur.com/WdDTm.jpg[/t]
9 hours!?!? 9 hours on one computer game!
9 hours!?!? 9 hours on one computer game!
Hey, when you got the ol lady naggin you to take out the trash times are hard.
9 hours!?!? 9 hours on one computer game!
I'm kinda wondering just how exaggerated that amount was, or if he just takes his sweet time and messes around on every level for a few hours, because I'm sure a playthrough of Half-Life would not take multiple days of 9 hours. :v:
My brother said that back in the day Half Life took him an entire month to beat and that it was huge. Then when I went to play it I beat it in about 7-10 hours. He always did have the habit of over exaggerating :v:
Half-Life did feel a lot longer back in the day
Just Imagine half life being the first game you ever played, was the case for me ,saying it was an experience is slightly underselling it.
Half-Life is the single most important video game for me, I first played it when I was 8 and it took forever to beat and the multiplayer wasn't shit back then.
Half-Life did feel a lot longer back in the day
To be honest, every game which you play for the first couple of times feel long because of the way you experience new stuff. And to add in the factor of immersive 3D Action experiences back then...
I didn't play Half-Life for the first time until 2010. I see everyone's nostalgia for it. I feel the same about Thief: The Dark Project
I felt fucked up when I went back to Half Life recently and beat it in one day. I remember watching my dad work at it for _MONTHS_.
I've never finished Half-Life.... And from the portion I did play, I thought it was pretty long. I don't think I was even halfway through the game
Half-Life did feel a lot longer back in the day
It took me a week to play through Half Life 2 the first time :v:. I wish I could play through it that way again, not knowing where I'm going, feeling my way out, so much fun.
Thanks for reminding me Opie & Anthony was this old. I got a bunch of their bits saved on my ipod to listen to during work, but those were when Jimmy was on there.
"You ever gonna come over here on the couch?" "STAP IT SHUT UP. THERE'S MAW MEN AFTER ME"
I felt fucked up when I went back to Half Life recently and beat it in one day. I remember watching my dad work at it for _MONTHS_.
That was my dad with FEAR. It took him a while to beat it but he eventually did it. He's done so about 3 times now.
I can definitely see this as an Source Filmmaker animation.
I can definitely see this as an Source Filmmaker animation.
But which TF2 character looks the most like Anthony? (because all SFMs seem to be made with TF2 characters)
I always remember listening to Opie and Anthony in my stepdad's car on the way to school, before they got dropped from our local station. Ratings dropped, I guess. I was also in elementary school, so probably not the best thing for a kid to listen to. Hey, it was censored at least.
But which TF2 character looks the most like Anthony? (because all SFMs seem to be made with TF2 characters)
Probably Scout. Matches his personality a bit too. No clue who would be Opie. Probably the Sniper.
But which TF2 character looks the most like Anthony? (because all SFMs seem to be made with TF2 characters)
It'd be a refreshing change if they were depicted by HL2 citizens.
It'd be a refreshing change if they were depicted by HL2 citizens.
I know from experience that the Engineer makes a good Jim Norton. Maybe the sniper with a goatee would look the most like Anthony because Anthony actually looks much better with a goatee. Dunno about Opie though. I guess he's the Scout if you go with the "Opies never been funny" crowd. Or failing that, the spy without the mask.
