Lots of youtubers were invited to go check out the game and they were allowed to record footage and release it into the wild. Here is about an hour of footage from various youtubers. Xbone starts 1 day earlier.
all i see is bullet sponges. hoping they're just doing stuff harder than should be
all i see is bullet sponges. hoping they're just doing stuff harder than should be
If there's a red skull next to the enemy health bar then yes, they are. Otherwise nope. The game is supposed to be an RPG at heart so things are going to soak up shots but yeah they do look quite spongy.
all i see is bullet sponges. hoping they're just doing stuff harder than should be
The other thing is nobody goes for headshots in these videos I don't get it. I'll add another video for the OP that goes in a bit more depth and specifically covers the time to kill. Hopefully this game lives up to the expectations. It looks fun, but we'll see. Not allowed to talk about the pc version? i hope that does not mean what i think it means
Not allowed to talk about the pc version? i hope that does not mean what i think it means
I would imagine that's just cause they didn't play the PC version and that's not what they were showing off during the event.
Yeah everyone has xbox footage so i'm assuming thats what they used so they cant say anything bout pc.
They're most likely only playing Xbone version because of a deal between Ubisoft and Microsoft considering there is a 1TB Xbone bundle with the game.
They're most likely only playing Xbone version because of a deal between Ubisoft and Microsoft considering there is a 1TB Xbone bundle with the game.
Also the beta starts a day early on xbox one. (28th - 31st instead of 29th - 31st)
Can you solo this game or do you have to play in groups?
Also the beta starts a day early on xbox one. (28th - 31st instead of 29th - 31st)
And there was a xbox one exclusive alpha in december. [editline]15th January 2016[/editline]
Can you solo this game or do you have to play in groups?
Seems like you can just solo the whole thing. Though I imagine it might get kinda hard later on.
Seems like you can just solo the whole thing. Though I imagine it might get kinda hard later on.
As long as you can solo it I don't care if I don't beat the game.
You can play it solo, but there some parts that require a group. But those parts are mostly the "dungeons" of the game. The "dungeons" do have matchmaking though.
You can play it solo, but there some parts that require a group. But those parts are mostly the "dungeons" of the game. The "dungeons" do have matchmaking though.
Do these dungeons work like raids in destiny? (minus the matchmaking).
Gonna hold off on this until I find out what the endgame is like. It seems some of the mechanics are comparable to games like Borderlands 2 and Warframe, both of which are games that got quite grindy while I was playing them. I just hope the level scaling isn't like "Sure, your guns do 5 times more damage but the enemies now have 25 times more health."
Do these dungeons work like raids in destiny? (minus the matchmaking).
From my understanding they're pretty much the same idea as Strikes.
Jesus , were the graphics down-graded? it looks worse than it did 2-3 years ago.
I kinda lost any trace of hype for this game when they started stripping the graphics. It just looks like a boring grind now. Plus Dark Souls roll button.
Jesus , was the graphics down-graded? it looks worse than it did 2-3 years ago.
Yeah, no shit, it's a video game that was being developed. Spoilers: it wasn't finished 2-3 years ago.
I don't get why people say graphics aren't everything, until they get downgraded. Yeah, shit looks worse. If it was prettier the game would still be the same. Also, youtube compression really doesn't help. I think we all know which still is from youtube. [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/wmDZQZ.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/YxhDmh.jpg[/t]
I don't think the graphics look much worse at all. When you're looking at trailers and shit you're looking at a presentation of exactly what they want you to see - which is going to be the best bits.
I'm so fucking pumped for this game, can't wait to play the beta. My buddy played the alpha in December and he only had good things to say.
It looks way, way too spongey.
Jesus , was the graphics down-graded? it looks worse than it did 2-3 years ago.
they are showing mostly Xb1 footage and you have to remember that's the weakest of the newer consoles. PC is going to look the best without a doubt. I think the recent trailer was shot on PC but I don't exactly know also, I still think it looks damn good for how it runs on Xb1
Was really hoping the RPG elements didn't involve increasing/decreasing the health of enemies. There are better ways to make RPG-Shooters without making bullet sponge enemies. The movement/cover system also looks too rigid. I thought it was going to be like Ghost Recon FS or Splinter Cell where you could hop from cover to cover really smoothly.
Jesus , was the graphics down-graded? it looks worse than it did 2-3 years ago.
Console footage
Yeah, no shit, it's a video game that was being developed. Spoilers: it wasn't finished 2-3 years ago.
Then shouldn't the graphics oh , i don't know INCREASE IN QUALITY while the development goes on? Well , most of the time , anyways.
Shouldn't like , graphics quality , oh i don't know , **INCREASE** while the developement goes on?
Not usually. It's start with the best case scenario then cut it down until it runs well enough, not get it to run well then crank it up.
Shouldn't like , graphics quality , oh i don't know , **INCREASE** while the developement goes on?
Uhhh no? You don't start with making the whole game all at once, you start with making all the visual stuff and then start building various sections of the game, which is then what you show off and then as you develop other parts and fill it all out, you always end up having to scale stuff down to make sure it all runs properly and doesn't fall apart, which 99% of the time means the graphics, since that's the most expendable part of a game.
Not usually. It's start with the best case scenario then cut it down until it runs well enough, not get it to run well then crank it up.
I know that , but it's just sad that devs started pulling Watch Dogs on us lately.
