I did no expect Maddox to cover such theme and even stream himself playing
why was Pat's girlfriend hanging out with Maddox?
Mum says the exact same thing yet she watches Gogglebox constantly.

"Gogglebox" sounds like a Britishism for "television"
I'd add another reason, which it is cool to see other gamer's experience with the games they're playing, if you've played it yourself.
"Gogglebox" sounds like a Britishism for "television"
It's basically the finebros react thing but for british TV shows but with a mix of people watching it in their homes
why was Pat's girlfriend hanging out with Maddox?
maybe theyre friends
For me the hypocrisy was always "why are you watching someone else play video games?" then my parents would run upstairs and watch football.
The only difference between those two activities is the word "video" you morons.
that fucking slut didnt even tell us
He told us last time when he used this music
from the title I was wholly expecting him to be on the other side of this rant
that fucking slut didnt even tell us
Haha, I don't want to take over Facepunch with all the slutty music I do. I'm absolute music whore.
Anyway, for the fun of it: I sent him a bunch of different versions of the same song to use:
It's by far the quickest I've ever had to write a song ever alongside the theme song, with literally hours before the Batman video going up. Waste my Dropbox bandwidth!

Even though I made the time limit, I guess he saved the Mario Paint-esque song I did for this video.

That reminds me of a friend of mine
he looks at me weird for watching dota and csgo games, but god forbid you look at him funny when he mumbles the hymns and the songs of his beloved soccer club like a far gone lunatic.
he also calls his dad whenever "they" win, and even when they lose, he writes some apologetic bullshit as if they won
It's such a disease.
from the title I was wholly expecting him to be on the other side of this rant
I did too. Perfectly executed bait and switch.
why was Pat's girlfriend hanging out with Maddox?
Whose girlfriend wouldn't hang out with Maddox?
It's rare that I agree 100% with Maddox on every point he makes.
This is one of those times.
I had an arm injury that prevented me from using my left arm for anything for awhile, the only way I could get my video game fix was from watching other people play them.

oh yeah same thing dude. worst part was having to watch other people masturbate since i couldn't do it.
Worst part? I think you mean best part.
I understand the points he makes, but still disagree with most of them. I don't watch Pewdiepie for the same reason I don't watch The View, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, etc. It's generally not interesting watching people I have absolutely no care about do completely normal things. It's not fair to put someone like Pewdiepie or Markiplier in the same category as Cosmo or that Tetris dude, just as it's not fair to put literally anyone on The View in the same category as Kasparov. You're comparing someone just doing something to someone excelling at something.
I watch KubScoutz for yandere sim cause I do not like playing the game and Jay voices isn't annoying.
Shit, I didn't know Maddox streamed. Weird obscure games to boot, which are always fun. Time to subscribe to his Twitch :v:

What is PewDiePie doing if not excelling at streaming video games?
What got me into watching Let's Plays was the fact that my FFX disc got scratched when I was halfway through, so I couldn't finish the game. I could either buy a new copy, or watch someone else finish it for me.
And now, over a decade later, I'm watching a different FFX playthrough because the guys are fucking hilarious.
What is PewDiePie doing if not excelling at streaming video games?
yeah, the whole 'charisma' bit he mentioned was the part he excels at. He's a fun individual to watch (if only to a certain audience) because of how he acts
I remember a much more cynical take on it, where they make a huge talk about how he's essentially a stand-in friend (there was a word, not 'placebo' but something similar), since not everybody has that goofy friend to kick back and play games and make fun of stuff and he fills that hyperactive nerdball void
I don't disagree with the video, but I feel like there's a bigger disparity between mine and Lebron James' basketball ability and mine and the top CS:GO player's Counter-Strike ability... by a lot.

There's a lot that goes into both. One is just more popular because gaming is seen as stupid and childish.

You're a gamer. I'm certain there are people who regularly play basketball as a hobby who could say the exact opposite and still be an avid NBA fan.
