now do you understand why every single metroid fan hates other : M , myself included.
Personally I like that they tried to make Samus a more human character, by giving her some flaws.

The game has a fucking horrible story, yes, but the gameplay is good. Keep in mind that this video has no actual gameplay; there's a lot of shit to do between these cutscenes in usual Metroid fashion.

It's all obviously put in because Samus, as a woman, constantly has to suppress her [I]natural instinct[/I] to get knocked up by a big tough man and take care of [B]THE BABY[/B] while becoming a master sandwich and [B]BABY[/B] maker.
Besides, why the fuck does she feel the need to obey the arbitrary orders not to use her weapons made by some random fuckstick on the ship that she just so happened to know years ago when she was a part of a group I assume she left? She's a [B]fucking bounty hunter not a soldier.[/B]

According to Retuprae's riff on the game Samus' VA was told to speak that way. From what they said it sounds like a lot of the blame gets misdirected to the people who were just doing what they were told.

If Gunpei Yokoi were still around, things would be a lot different around here.
Instead of this misogynist tragedy, we would have Metroid Dread and it would take place after Fusion and be about Samus on the run from a pissed off G-FED with nobody but Robo-Adam and the monkey things to keep her company and she slowly goes insane.
That would be so badass. But nope, now Samus is a 50's housewife and apparently the entire Prime series is no longer canon either.
