If there is one thing I can say for sure with absolute 100% guarantee as an ex-muslim and having been raised in an entirely muslim family, is this:
The only good innocent muslims in this world are the ones who take the least from Islam. They take the parts of the religion they appreciate, like not stealing, killing and maybe something minor irrational like not eating pork and leave the rest alone. They ignore the harsh and absurd parts of it.
Because it's really just a spectrum, the further right you go, the more you take in of the Quran and live your life by its ideology, the more radical you become.
as soon as these innocent and good hearted muslims realize they don't need their belief to live their life like they do and step out of the circle, all we'd have left are the radicals which would make the whole problem much MUCH easier to tackle head on
